It's so sad because we see that they were truly happy in each other's space especially Shaocheng. He made her felt like she had a home and she made him felt more warmth. I need them in another drama with a true happy ending! I felt so betrayed by this writer.

From the douyin teasers, it looks like Shaocheng never wanted Ping'an to partake in the Wu-Li battle; risking her life again. I believe he genuinely meant it when he told her that he wanted to take her away so she'd be safe, but Ping'an didn't realize the meaning behind his words so he had no choice but to go along with her narrative. Shaocheng always valued family and friends so it didn't make sense why he wouldn't protect her when she means alot to him.
