I finally decided to pick this drama up because 1) my sis was infatuated with the 2nd leads and 2) I was bored.…
I did skip alot of the leads' scenes in the first life and found it silly how the ML brainwashed and pushed the FL away. Like how could you do that?...ML was selfless and selfish at the same time. His so called ways of loving and protecting her was beyond selfish! He always thought that what he did was the best for her, but it became repetitive and he always screw her over just like giving her sweet candies and then bitter medicine afterwards. Time after time, he was the one that made her heartbroken and did her dirty.
Also, I was disappointed that ML never learned his lesson; the FL was content with being by his side although she knows that she may never become his wife.
Props to FL's character, she had a nice character growth. I didn't really like her in the first life because she was not impressionable; she was innocent, naive, and bland. But, I did come to love her Ayu and Chenyue character, they both made me care for her relationship with the ML because she wanted to fight against her fate, and she wanted to fight for the man she loves and for her own happiness. I didn't really like her 4 lifetime, but I did appreciate that 1) she told the ML what she had wanted all along, which was to be by his side, 2) she finally hated the way how he protects her and 3) she remembers all the lifetimes.
All in all, I did love the 2nd leads more. They were like a breath of fresh air from the depressing leads' storyline. Even ML was more interesting when he was with the 2nd leads. Not to mention, 2nd leads' love was consistent and it grew more over time. I found myself squealing and blushing whenever they were together. I wished more scenes were added for them. You can't help but want to see more of SML melt for SFL, that's just how good and cute they were together! Hands down Pan Mei Ye got the best role LOL. If you want to pick this drama up, definitely stay for the 2nd leads.
I know I'll be looking forward to more of Deng Wei's dramas, he did well for his first role and he can definitely emote and cry.
I thought the movie was okay. I did enjoy it. Kim Kang Woo always plays a great villain, so no surprises there. The strongest point was definitely Kim Seon Hoβs crazy character and his charismatic acting. I thought the ending was just so-so, until KSHβs revelation for the ending credits had me literally LOL. Iβd totally watch another movie of this if they focused more on his character and why he turned out the way he is.
I read the other replies but they seem not to have understood it as well, so I'll explain it...to put it simply…
I agreed with everything except The Nobleman being the chairman's son. The older brother mentioned "Maknae" to Marco meaning whoever is the real son should be the youngest in the Han family even younger than the half sister, and The Nobleman is definitely older than her.
I swear almost all movies Sanosuke was in always get heavily beat up πDude is like a beast π
My comment is a bit late but YES! That thought occured to me in part 3. I'm like this dude is always getting beat up but somehow survives πππ.
I'm also one of the ones who watched The Beginning first, but by accident and it did affect the relationship between Kaoru and Kenshin. Like the other parts are still good and I don't have an issue with Kaoru's character, but I do agree that their relationship impact is not as strong as Tomoe and Kenshin's.
I unknowingly started off with Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning since they had that and part 1 available on Netflix back then. Netflix took almost 2 years before finally putting up all the other parts and now I can binge watch this masterpiece. I'm finally starting on Part 2, but so far this movie part is still the best Rurouni Kenshin movie for me. Don't get me wrong, they're all good, but Part 5 just hits my emotion differently.
After seeing ep 1. Okay, like I know FL accidentally detained ML because she thought he was the suspect, but DAMN is she annoying the heck out of me! She has so much prejudice against ML JUST because he's a so called rich with priviledge kind of guy! And honestly, it's her own fault that she didn't get all the facts checked and just assumed ML was the bad guy by what she saw - and not just saw, but not even listening to him too.
Sure, she kind of redeemed herself by rechecking what ML had said, but still...she has not even apologized to him at all after checking the facts and still acts like she did nothing wrong is not sitting well with me. If I was in ML's shoes, I'd feel injustice by what she did too. Imagine yourself going after the bad guy who's armed with a knife that had just hurt your friend, and because the bad guy's KOed, you're the bad guy now.
On ep 2. OMGad... and now FL's going to try and make the ML quit on his own. She's so...ugh... And, on the other hand, 2nd ML is annoying too. Sheesh! 2 annoying blind prejudice police are working together. Greaaaat!...
HAHAHA!!! πππ NVM. Pay back is a B****. ML is smart!
