I've been waiting for that worker to submit his resignation letter since he said last time he wanted to quit. Unfortunately, FL can only fire him when she has a good enough reason to do so like if he becomes lazy and doesn't do a good job or does something to sabotage his work.

He's kept so much in too. I felt like he only released a little bit of it to his mom in trying not to overwhelm her. He definitely felt abandoned, bullied, and not loved, but still grew up to be a good and docile kid; makes me think back to when he told Mao Mao how he didn't used to talk, that should be a sign to be concerned about.

Later on in life, she remarries FL's grandfather as the second wife. FL's father is the son from the grandfather and his first wife. You can say that ML and FL are like step cousins.

Everyone has their own reasoning for the ratings that they put on a drama whether that would be good or bad. I have no complaints because my own rating wouldn't be align with yours or others and I have no reason to persuade you or others to like it nor should you do to others. Like you say, the story is written well so just enjoy. I always start a drama regardless of the ratings of the drama and make my own perception of it. I'm only simply stating why this drama could have low ratings and what I'm fustrated about it, but I'm not stating that it's not a good drama. The leads are not getting chewed over their acting should be a sign that rating has nothing to do with them or their acting but a problem with the story or a certain character (people can only endure so much if there's no progress). You can't just have all the good eggs without some bad eggs. Plus, the people who are still watching this drama like me and others have not rate it yet. And, the drama seems to be doing well in China as the story is finally shifting to another arc.

So far, the FL has a nice character growth. She's done two things I wanted. Break up with the BF and now breaking up with the mom 😂.

The story between the leads are good. It might be because of the mom. She's the most annoying and indecisive person even beating Jiali's tier of annoyingness. If I wasn't sticking around for the other rest of the drama, I would have turn this drama off because of the mom.
