The romance in this drama is truly a "slow-burn." I don't mind it but I do hope that we get a lot of romantic scenes later in the show.

Honestly I don't even think he is a good actor. I've seen him in a few dramas and I always felt that he was stiff and didn't emote well. I think he had a lot of fans because he played a lot of second male leads and second lead syndrome caused fans to love him.

Either way I'm glad he is being exposed for being a horrible human being and I hope he doesn't appear in any more dramas.

I'm gonna check this out because one of the main premises of this show, the FL already having a child, is not something I've seen before in a historical drama. Also the ML looks very handsome in the historical clothes.

Just an okay drama for me. I wasn't that into the politics and wasn't too pleased with Awu's character arc. Xiao Qi is what really kept me invested. I give it a 7/10

I really enjoyed the first episode! The cinematography is beautiful and the acting is good. Also is that Bian Jiang dubbing the ML? if so then that's a bonus!

What a wonderful show! The development of the romance is my favorite part. It wasn't insta-love but it wasn't a slow burn either. There was attraction and respect so it felt natural that the fake relationship developed into a heartwarming real romance. I also adore the male lead. He is reserved but he is not afraid to show his emotions. He's also so romantic with both his words and gestures. This was a breath of fresh air because I'm getting tired of the stoic male leads in so many dramas. Highly recommend this show and I'll definitely be re-watching it in the future!
