I've seen a few episodes and I think the ML is too stoic. I know it is common to have a serious and cold ML but we should still see some emotion. I guess only some actors call pull it off.

I'm so excited for this! Mostly because Jing Chao is the ML. He's one of the best actors I've seen but unfortunately he has mostly played 2nd male leads.

I would say that yes the overarching story makes sense but there are plot holes here and there due to the editing.

No disrespect to Chen Zhe Yuan (the ML) but I just don't buy that he is this powerful "god of war" when he looks like a kid. I think they should have casted an older looking actor that could really sell it. I think of someone like Benson Wang who played General Pei in "Goodbye My Princess."

I feel bad for the actors because all their hard work feels wasted. As a viewer I'm left feeling bitter about the ending and thus the overall show. It's disappointing because the beginning of the show had a fun and comedic vibe to it so who could have thought it would end like this.

WTF was that ending! So depressing! I'm so fed up with chinese dramas having such bad endings, it feels like I just wasted my time. From now on I'm not watching an ongoing drama unless I know it has a good ending.

No the leads do not end up together. The ending is sad but it was the natural conclusion to the story

Completely agree. I found all the politics in the middle of the show boring. Instead I was waiting for them to get their memories back so all the other stuff felt like filler.

Overall I'm enjoying the show, but I don't like how wishy-washy the FL in regards to her feelings to the ML. The ML has made it abundantly clear that he likes her and wants to have a real marriage with her but she keeps misunderstanding him. I've only seen up to episodes 16 and we still have a while to go but maybe because the ML fell in love quickly, I'm finding it annoying waiting for the FL to return his feelings.

Does anyone know who voices the emperor? I swear I've heard that voice before

This is the first Chinese drama I've watched where the FL is actually in love with the SML for more then half the show. While I'm happy with who she ended up with I felt that there were too many romantic scenes with the SML compared to the ML.

Just like "Princess Silver" (another drama starring Aarif Rahman) I like the 2nd male lead more then his character. In both dramas, I find his character boring.

Seen ep. 1 and so far so good! This seems to be a rom-com leaning more into comedy particularly that scene when the younger sister beat up that guy. I just hope they can keep the tone consistent.

I seriously love this show! Hongbin is one of my favorite ML of all time. He's just so sweet and caring. I love all the moments when he just smiles at her- like when she showed him the portrait of him and he was so pleased. Also it feels like the 2nd ML doesn't have much of a role in this story. I've only seen up to ep. 10 but so far he hasn't done much.
