Gorgeous movie, wonderful actors, and amazing cinematography. If only we had more movies/shows depicting historical Japan. I'd love to see Haikara-San made into a J-drama!
Some people are saying there's going to be a sequel. If you are interested in knowing what happens after the events in the movie, you could read the light novels or watch the upcoming second cour of the anime. I believe it's going to come out this fall. I have a feeling that a sequel of the movie won't be announced until the second cour is completed.
What the heck is up with that ending, they made it look like there's going to be a sequel but I don't see anything…
Same ending in the anime. There's an announcement for a second cour (continuation of the first season) for the anime. I don't think there's going to be a sequel of this movie until the second cour of the anime is completed.
Season 1 was so good but Season 2 really rushed things, as a Fansubber on Twt has said it feels as if they made…
*sigh* As much as I really enjoyed this series, both seasons, I have to admit--I agree with your post. Season two was just way too rushed in so many aspects. And why are there only 6 episodes if in the first season there were 8? :(
I'm calling it--this is probably one of the best manga-to-live-action adaptions from Japan. Before this, I felt like Taiwan was always making the better manga adaptions--but this is just perfect. Is it an absolute copy-paste of the manga? No. Is it worth 2 even 3 re-watches for how good it is on it's own? Yes. Now watch it. >:)
This drama is very good, probably among the best J-dramas I've ever seen. The cast and cinematography is stunning. However, the romance doesn't really start to bloom until later episodes. When it does actually happen, it's lovely and beautifully written. Just don't go into this drama expecting the romance to start immediately ;)
