Many popular idols get their paycheck after several years of career because their income had been cut entirely or partially to pay their cost /debt for training, debuting and producing music. Promoting in tv and other media also requires money. They pay to secure a stage in tv.
During the process of paying debt, they rely of allowance from the company or simply ask family support.
This practice apply for all of idol agencies in SK. (Only YG CEO said they don't charge a debt to their trainee, because they splurge money into trainee s as investment. Either it will vanish or come to fruition someday. But we don't know behind the closed door)

Even if those idols put away the money problem, they still receive harsh treatment from their agencies. But not all agencies sucks.
