It has disturbing scenes as the tag says. Skip if you cannot bear to watch it. I think the filmmaker intentionally makes it so the audience can empathize with the victims and the bereaved.
I don't think so. I feel that the drama writer makes it lighter so it can be chewed by the audience. It is not as dark as Shokuzai / Penance, or as desperate as Mother. But it still makes your emotion in turmoil (prepare a box of tissue just in case). Idk about the movie version tho'.

Yamada Ryosuke is perfect for this role. If it is not him, then Toma Ikuta will be perfect. Maruya Kosuke is hilarious in his way. lol And don't forget Ichinose, OMG.
