As someone who works in similar field I never mentored someone as assistant that long. It's 6 months to 2 years. This…
Yeah, maybe it's just in drama. That 'scarf' incident is like a statement 'I can't take this anymore!' from the assistant. It is due to: 1st, FL isn't interested in digging up further her cheating BF, like it's not as important as her work. 2nd, FL feels it is not the right time to give her assistant an important project. FL seems to cherish that assistant though, she doesn't even go crazy first. Instead, she asks her assistant if she is okay or in a bad mood. But the assistant keeps throwing tantrums, hence FL gets upset. I don't think FL won't say no if the assistant wants to go separate ways. That assistant clinging onto FL (who is quick-tempered) for such a long time is incredible. I'm wondering too why she doesn't pursue legal ways for companies for breach of contracts upon such rumours. Bullying and power abuse have been a hot topics in SK. Even though she repeatedly claims to be innocent, none of them believe her. Or even though they acknowledge FL as a good person, they cannot ignore public opinion. With all the backlashes of random netizens, FL chose to give up everything. I don't know how the writer will resolve FL's problem at the end of episodes. It's still a mystery whether FL can come back to her field or not.
Got up to the current episode and it is indeed funny and quite entertaining especially the dialogue. I understand…
I think this is VIU original? VIU and other platforms usually make a bid to produce dramas. Practically, streaming platform invests the money while the third party do the hard work (producing drama). For local dramas, I'm pretty sure viu does the math. won't spend as much money as netflix does.

Yeah, haha. I don't speak any C language but hearing those drama in Cantonese is kinda hilarious. My ears are used to hear Mandarin and Hokkien. FYI, ML already found out Mei Ling's real identity was Ho Lee. 🤣He deemed himself an intelligent, capable man, just used his brain a little and he could figure it out easily. Otherwise, I'll call him stupid. lol IDK whyyyy HK dramas that I watched seem to be low cost, not as good as their Mainland counterpart. Maybe they rely solely on the plot. Had they splurged more money on the production cost, this would be great! Don't waste the talent of the cast. Taiwanese is another case, their benchmarking is Japan drama.
Out of tons of ideas to take down FL in the first ep, the writer decides the cannon fodder villain uses a 'mental health' card. I detest people who fake mental health card for their gain and instead ruin other people's mental health. Mental health is not something you can toy with. Playing victim is cheap. (I think positively that the writer intentionally mocks people who deliberately use 'mental health' cards for selfish personal gain, not that they urgently need it. If you follow news of K-showbiz for quite some time, you'll know there are some related cases about it.)
The girl who ruins FL's hard work is her 5 years mentee, working in her own studio. As a mentor FL thinks this is not the right time for her to debut. She still needs to learn. (FL mentioned that she had become a mentee for 7 years prior to her debut. And her old mentor is a savage one). The ungrateful mentee thinks that her mentor is blocking her career, thus slandering her for power abuse. If it is not crazy enough, the mentee seduces her mentor's BF. I think FL nailed it when she said "don't blame others for your low self esteem. If you disagree with my way (of teaching you), why don't you open your own studio?" The logic way to solve the mentee's problem is, to immediately quit FL's studio. If she doesn't see a future there, just leave that place. Don't we quit jobs or change jobs sometimes too? Some people are so jealous of other people's achievements, that they ignore their sacrifices (what they have done) while climbing the ladder to reach success.

I never get bored with the 'Rashomon technique' of storytelling.
