Title The Lie We Lived In Spoiler
Are we supposed to know how he found him? Or… just gloss over that and move on? I feel like I’m missing something.
I appreciate the timestamps. My guess as I was watching had been that they would take the money in the cans and go to the Faroe Islands, which is the place that was mentioned in ep. 2. But the Faroe Islands are in Northern Europe. So yes, that is maybe where they ended up, but since we only ever see Tae Jeong driving after he left the city, it seemed like that beach was somewhere else and I had just missed out on how I was supposed to know where that was. Like, even a stock shot of a plane taking off would help if it was supposed to be in the Faroe Islands! 😆

For those who have read the manwha… when Jay says he slept with a man 5 years ago, does that mean that was the only time he’s slept with a man? Or is that just part of “…and now I’m looking for him”? Because the way the subtitles read and the conversation he’s having with Sun, it feels like Jay is just sharing his own answer to the question he asked Sun.

With only 1 episode to go I dropped it. I realized I gave zero cares how this story concludes.

I was not expecting to shed tears this episode, but that opening scene got me. I wanted to know but I didn’t…
If you could mark your comment as a spoiler, that would be appreciated. Thanks!

They may not have 'Reloved' us... but I'm still out. I can't justify continuing to watch the world's longest tea…
I watched this episode at 1.5 speed and it was *still* so slow. Someone who didn’t know wouldn’t have guessed it was playing at a higher speed!

Since it's just a TV show I have no problem recommending Patricide as the most logical solution to Mueang's problems.…
That’s from Fake Fact Lips 🙂

I hope the Tong fan who swore he’d NEVER do a BL is ok 😭
But Tong has already been in BLs before, correct? Did the fan mean Tong would never do a BL as lead?

Cute show, but I’m still bothered that in ep 2 after they swapped, they should have returned to the bedroom that belonged to their souls, not their bodies. Minor detail, but it just stands out to me. But a cute watch so far, nonetheless.

8.1 again, lets goooo!
Yes, I hope all of us currently watching and enjoying it will give it a high rating right now! If you change your mind later you can always change your rating, but for now I would like to see that number higher!

How darling was that scene when Zen is trying to drink wine, and Ryo can barely contain himself? And as soon as Zen says it’s up to how Ryo does whether he falls asleep, Ryo’s stripping and bouncing, saying “I’ll do great!” 😆 Oh my god, just so laugh out loud darling.

Episode 5:Another stellar effort.Eps 1-5 have built and built and built on each other with near-perfection.The…
I’m actually nervous to like this show as much as I do. Every week I mentally prepare myself: please don’t let this be the week they fuck it up.

If you are willing to share, what are the moments in ep 5 that made you teary?

And as far as Ryo goes, yes, yes I am very much with you on that. I would definitely put out for that seductive, heart-on-his-sleeve goofball. And then lots of cuddling.

Just for kicks, lately I’ve pondered what if I could only ever again watch BL from one country, which would it be. For me, no brainer it comes down to Japan or Taiwan. They are capable of BL that honestly are as high art as any non BL genre has turned out (I say this as if BL even needs to apologize for its existence, but that’s a way different discussion).

Unknown (Taiwan). I mean, mic drop. If the powers that be hadn’t done I-don’t-know-what-the-hell-they-were-thinking edits to the sex scene (and thank god I’ve seen the re-edit so I don’t have to curse into the void every day) then this series would be perfection for me, absolutely no notes. When It Rains It Pours (Japan). I do have a few minor quibbles with this one although not enough that I wasn’t completely shredded by this one. So much so that among the over 200 BLs I’ve seen, this is the one that I spent what would be an embarrassing and startling amount of deep-dive on if I didn’t have an understanding and acceptance of how art can absolutely fuck you over.

And of course there are several others. I share these as examples of the Sophie’s choice it would be for me to have to choose between the (future) BL of these two countries. Fortunately I do not have to actually make that choice and can thoroughly enjoy and be put through an emotional blender by beautiful series from both. (And as I currently live in a country that democracy forgot, I’ll take my wins where I can get them.)

Sorry but ji won annoys the F*ck out of me
Thank you for saying this! If he said “what?” one more time I was going to lose my shit. And I have NO idea what Jeong Wu saw in him. Ji Won’s personality was as flat as a pancake. And the bummer for me was that the kissing and NC were well done, but I just couldn’t buy that Jeong Wu was that into him. I wish they had done a better job showing why we were supposed to believe he was.

1. Wow, did I just watch a *Thai* BL with that level of performance?? (and not an engineering student in sight 😆)

2. What’s up with the crazy weird promo pic that has a totally different vibe than the show? 🤷‍♀️

Wow, super surprised by the number of people dismayed by representations of high schoolers having sex. A) Uh, read the synopsis and the tags. Skip if it’s not for you. B) I can’t speak for all cultures, but in Western cultures, teens having sex is very very normal (and I suspect some other cultures as well, I just can’t speak knowledgeably about that). You are entitled to your opinion that you don’t agree with it happening, but that doesn’t make the fact any less true. And it never will (See: typical human development).

And you know what has always gone over well? Adults judging teens for their choices 🙄 If you truly care that much about the well-being of teens, I suggest more listening, understanding, and guidance and less judging.

It’s also normal in Western cultures for teens not to have sex too. Both are normal; neither is bad or wrong.

So I’ll start by saying I have watched approximately 200 BLs, and this is the FIRST ONE that shows natural, ongoing affection between the leads. Like the majority of people in real life romantic relationships do. Holding hands everywhere. A hand on the back. A playful peck/sniff on the cheek. An absent-minded rub along an arm or leg while watching a movie. A hug from behind, with a chin on the shoulder. All throughout, very naturally, not just as a token moment once or twice in the show. This is so unusual (sadly) that I spent a good portion of my watching time just being (pleasantly) gobsmacked by this. Truly the most believable, natural interacting between a couple I’ve seen not only in my BL watching but also in any of the het shows I’ve seen.

I thought the last episode was well done. The take on the NC scene was also unlike any I’d seen before, as well as the very ending scene. The caring shown between the characters during the episode was sweet and believable.

As others have said, the series gets off to a kinda weird start, and also the editing left something to be desired, the “villain” plot and the dorm “rivalry” were nonsensical, there were some hot/cold emotions at one point that made no sense, some kisses were good, some were not (although the tongue sucking caught me off guard, but again, a very realistic part of irl kissing).

But if you’re in the mood for something light and feel-good, there are worse choices. If you’re prepared to sort of gloss over some of the rough bits and just enjoy the natural, (ultimately) sweet relationship between the leads — not a break up in sight! — then I recommend giving this show a try.

He's SO gorgeous! I feel like the character Hagiwara couldn't have been played by anyone else. He's a great mix…
You’re looking at his hair when he’s in the shower? 😉

It is interesting to me how different he looks with his hair back. I mean, still gorgeous as fuck, but such a different look. I really wish they would spend even just a few more seconds on those scenes, so I could really have time to appreciate the difference…
