Even though more episodes then 8 would have been lovely, I *did* appreciate that issues and miscommunications were resolved rather quickly, instead of dragging on (and on) as they do in longer series. And even though WangTang are rookies, I thought they did *really* well. Their scenes got me in the feels for sure, both the highs and the lows.

Noooooo! I decided to go ahead and watch this because comments had said it had a happy ending, but even though the producer says it’s a happy ending, honestly the actors’ take on it is probably a more realistic interpretation given how that very final scene was filmed/edited. Gah!

Even though the ending definitely raised some questions (like, the aunt and doctor went away with Yanzhi. Did *they* not come back OR write for three years?) I was blissfully ignoring those thoughts and reminding myself, “hey, it’s a happy ending, right?” Now that this monkey wrench has been thrown in the works though, I have to say I agree with the actors that it’s a sad ending, with Qi imagining Yanzhi there. (The producer may have “begged” for a happy ending, but I think the director made her own work-around - !) Waaa! 😫💔

If you didn’t see the I-pretend-I-hate-you-but-actually-I-want-you-badly sex at the end of ep. 4… not sure what to tell you 🤷‍♀️ But yes, it was very much a… scene 🔥

It was a poorly filmed scene. Yes, the stab wound should have been in the back based on the direction everyone was facing. But the ultimate result was that he was only stabbed slightly… in the front. How you ask? Well, most others are asking that as well! But no, he was not stabbed through his body.

And I know a lot of people are hating on the clothes, but honestly I haven’t noticed them much because I’m so annoyed by the guys’ hairstyles, except Boat’s.

I feel like this series might be better suited for those newer to the omegaverse maybe? At least from what we’ve seen so far. I honestly don’t know how a show could effectively satisfy those very familiar with omegaverse and those newer to it, at the same time. I know that some people who are familiar with omegaverse are enjoying this series, so it’s obviously hitting the right notes for them, but for me, wow, I was bored. Phatsa’s heat li.ter.al.ly took up half of the episode time. The plot must be super thin if they have that much time to devote to a heat. Ugh, I’m torn, whether to give one more episode a shot or cut my losses now. I loved the craziness that was My Stubborn, but this BoatOat outing might not be for me. Bummer.

Ah, I was looking at the actual Tags. It does show Romance under the Genres.

Ugh, it pains me to agree with you. While I truly appreciate the artistry and hotness of the NC scene, and we did get some emotional insight for that encounter, I feel the story did not advance at all. If this was a 12-16 episode show, I would be more forgiving, but with only 10 episodes, the storytelling needed to be tighter this past episode.

Valid point, although we don’t know Tin’s orientation for sure. He could be bi. But if he still feels toward Siri like a sister, *that* could be the bigger challenge (in this imaginary situation). Or he and she are ok w her having a lover. Sooooo many ways that scenario has been overcome in real life.

Yep, I posted a similar comment. You have to buy into the romantic fantasy to enjoy these shows, but yes, Tin would totally have been married with three kids by then.

I was thinking this during the whole scene! The first 20 minutes of the reaction video is just going to be them having their heads stuffed in the sofa 😆

But! I would like to make another PSA about our man Inn’s acting. I continue to be in awe. The scene with the letter? His face goes from anticipating, to stunned, to grief. I’m thinking, am I actually watching a *Thai* BL? (And then Pond comes on the screen and I’m reminded, oh yeah, I am 😆)

Fortunately they had spent their lives together before the separation, so the “forever love” aspect I can at least buy into into more than when a pair knows each other for a minute and then declares they will love each other forever no matter how far or how long apart. (I mean, if I didn’t buy into the romance fantasy I wouldn’t watch these shows, but sometimes… 🙄)

And I usually loathe time jumps where people in love are not able to be together for whatever reason, but this one - while still sad - I think doesn’t bother me *as much* because it gave Phob time to put himself in a position of greater equality with Tin and to have power to make things happen for himself. But, yeah, damn, still a long time 🙁

And speaking of fantasy, again, I’m buying all of it here, but my mind couldn’t help but take a slight detour to consider the fact that Tin would have already been married with 3 kids at this point, but where would be the fun for us in that? 😉

I agree, and feel the same way about Phob’s mom. I mean, as a viewer if it makes a person feel more engaged in the story to hate on her, then do you. But… she 100% is not a villain here. It’s not at all hard to see that she was actually in so much pain to do that to her child. As a mom myself, my heart broke for her as much as for Phob. This wasn’t western culture in 2026. This was 1920’s Siam, which included a non negotiable class structure, regardless of how congenial everyone was being to each other. (I mean, hello, the servants were still sitting ON THE FLOOR at their “master’s” feet.) It’s hard for most of us to understand the very real barrier that existed. And that’s before even getting to the male❤️male piece.

And to be clear, while being LGBTQ in 2026 is light years better than in 1920, people still do lose their jobs and families and LIVES just for the mere fact of whom they love. Even in countries where laws are supposed to protect people. So a hundred years later, sadly it’s still not “easy” for everyone to love freely without repercussions.

Uncomplicated but sweet. And there’s something about Korean BLs that just hits right.
