It's definitely a script problem; wish the actors voiced concern while filming because some directors like to…
Apparently LJ negotiated about XX’s helplessness and that was fixed a bit - she wanted XX to be more independent than the script originally had. It could’ve been worse! Unfortunately they can’t request a change to the entire script 😅

I am also very disappointed in this drama which has so much potential to better than it turned out. Xiao xiao is deeply insecure comparing herself to the ex, which YH doesn’t help by constantly thinking about the ex and not sharing with XX. Even when he takes XX away for the weekend he’s thinking about his ex and denies it when XX repeatedly asks about it. Funnily enough LJ seems to not like XX’s wavering feelings either when asked in her character interviews so 100% it’s a script problem. What a pity.

Why does every couple have zero communication skills? Why is the FL still hiding from everyone? It makes me think…
This drama was promising but now seems to use the main couple for comedic effect 😔. Other than XX being embarrassed by everything there is no reason to keep hiding 🤷🏻‍♀️. Anyway it will be the calm before the storm as we have 16 episodes left.

I still enjoy YH / XX's relationship now that they're dating - she's calm and laidback while he's neurotic and sensitive. I thought the scene "exposing" their relationship to their friends was so cute. I know the comments hated that XX wanted to keep their relationship under wraps - it never bothered me because I understand wanting to keep a new relationship to ourselves for a bit to enjoy it, I was the same many ages ago.

I never expected HYT and LJ to have as much of a cp feeling as they do onscreen so I'm still following the drama as it releases. Sad to say, offscreen they have no chemistry lol so kudos to them for being great actors.

I do admit that I am fast-forwarding through the 2nd pairing stories though - I'm here for the guys' friendships and main cp.

As others have commented, seems YH's ex will be coming back in later episodes to throw a wrench into things. XX finds out the reason YH was attracted to her when he first met her was because she reminded him of his exgf - there will be heartbreak ahead for sure, but I will be enjoying their good times for now.

I think maybe FL will be chasing ML once she figures things out.
LJ also played Ziyi in Side Story of Fox Volant.

@Enigma05 The Day of Becoming You is amazing, give it a try. You have to put up with at least the first two episodes then it'll progress nicely.

@enigma05 If you follow LJ dramas, the last two confession scenes from her are top notch. Hopefully this drama will be good as well!

Y’all are scaring me with this. I’m about to start it.
Luckily a viewer can just stop watching if they don’t like the drama. I honestly am puzzled with all the apparent hate watching. Then again a lot of people criticized The Day of Becoming You and Hi Venus too which I loved 🤷🏻‍♀️. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course.

Agree with you 100%! Her answer to him was actually "I need more time" but he took it as a rejection anyway.

I love this drama sooo much. The chemistry is🔥🔥. I don't get why people are criticising the series. 10/10
I am just as confused as you. In a typical 24 episode drama, the leads usually don’t get together until episode 16/17 and here people are saying the drama is too long but expect the leads together immediately 🤷🏻‍♀️. Once they get together, people will complain it’s boring and the drama is dragging. If Xiaoxiao accepts Ye Han’s love now, then she’ll be criticized as being flaky - wasn’t she crushing on Jiacheng for 3 years but now she moves on so quickly? We can’t win. She didn’t share her crush with her bestie however at the same time she’s been trying to help them get together even if it breaks her heart - yeah, what a terrible character she has! 🤦🏻‍♀️Let’s just enjoy the ride, we’ve been waiting for this drama for almost two
years!

She’s a bicycling coach at the school and a basketball coach offsite, which is how she met Jiacheng.

Actually I think the son will be younger around 7-8 years old. We saw from Reuters during filming there is a child.

The fact is FL still loves SML more than ML. I hope she comes out of her delulu world and accept the reality.…
She’s known Jiacheng for 3+ years and ML for a few weeks at most. She’s already accepted Jiacheng is not interested in her and she helps Jiacheng contact her friend even though it hurts. Calling her delusional is harsh.

I've completed the 8 episodes released so far and I find myself liking the drama even more than I expected. I appreciate the relationship between the male characters - they are each other's ride or die whether it's helping one with avoiding trouble with his wife (for better or worse :/) or celebrating another's late wife's birthday without being asked.

For Ye Han and Li XiaoXiao, I love the building of their relationship. They're both not clearly seeing what's in front of them - for Ye Han, it's his insecurity that she still likes his friend that he doesn't realize she's describing him as the type she likes in episode 8 (she uses the term cultured for her ideal man). For her, she's used to liking his friend for three years without sharing her feelings. She's not brave in love even though she's an overall outgoing and optimistic person. Oh, and she does kiss him back when he kisses her. Ye Han is so expressive in his words and actions that he does not understand her actions without words.

I enjoy this drama a lot and already after the next 2 episodes it will be 25% completed. I'm a bit of a sap and have already teared up a few times so this drama has spoken to me. I also love Liu Yuning's OST.

Just my two cents since I've seen quite a few comments on how much people do not like this drama already even though it's just starting. It may not be for everybody but it's been enjoyable for this fan so far.

I like that so far everyone seems to be rational and it’s a lighthearted watch. Yes, it’s a bit tropey but honestly it’s much better quality than expected. It’ll be a nice contrast to Liang Jie’s next two dramas which are expected to be much darker and heart wrenching in contrast.
