I really don't like how there are actors for the younger roles and different ones in the present roles. in other…
Yes, I found that as a disconnect as well. I did like that his sister and his BF were very consistent btw young and older selves, their scenes were rather brief.
I initially had a difficult time watching this series as I normally don't have a lot of patience to sit through series watching each and every scene and nuance, so watching it the first time with binge techniques and the FF button I totally just zoned out because of all the jumping around in different time periods. But as I am a Takeru fan and with nothing else to do caught in the blizzard, I gave it another chance but this time with a hot coffee and kept the hand off the Raku remote. Well after watching it with a bit more attention I really got into the series and loved it, but this time lots of rewind as there were lots of bits of details that I would miss. However, I am a bit tired of the amnesia trope but it was an essential part of this story. For me as an instance I can't believe that she never heard that song again for like over 15 or more years? I mean, like even just casually walking around or while driving with radio is present this song likely popped up somewhere and could have caused a trigger. But other than that I did enjoy the series.
Agoraphobia meets Aquaphobia. The story was good, but while ML managed to wrestle his demons, it was left out as to FL's own condition, which in my opinion seemed more debilitating.
It was great overall, but I have a hard time understanding why Namiki left after Yae confessed she liked him at…
I think he knew he had to leave. When he told tsuzuru about V1 the commit to fly speed, he was telling the both of them it was time for each of them to take action. Although Yae eventually confessed her true feelings over the phone he knew deep down that this Yae wasn't his first love, and would never have been the same. Even though she said she loved him from the start (when she met him with her son), that confession was even more heartbreaking for him to hear since he knew that she really didn't know as yet why she had this great love for him. It would take the first love Yae to come find him, which he immediately knew when he saw her again on the tarmac.
Dog belong FL's mother, its her childhood dog and also some old, and dog barely appeared
My wife told me she will just skip this episode altogether and had me give her a summary of the episode so that she can catch up for the next. She told me going forward with this series, I am to preview each episode just in case there may be flash back to any of these scenes, so she knows not to watch it. She said it was just too soon (our 17 yo chihuahua passed only a month ago) for her, the sadness still too much for her.
Dog belong FL's mother, its her childhood dog and also some old, and dog barely appeared
The scene with her dog passing away was very sad, her dog was very symbolic to her life as she said like the dog, she felt that she didn't belong any where. While her mother initially did not want the dog - as it probably was a burden and likely also reminder of her ex, the dog later was a reason for FL to return home from work periodically. While the mother seemed reluctant to show affection, she truly loved her daughter and also loved the dog as well. The scenes of the dog taking his last breath and then the cremation/funeral center, was very difficult for me as memories are still too recent. My wife told me to fast forward these scenes as she couldn't bear watching them at all.
My little chihuahua of 17 years passed away last month, I cradled her during her last hours and she quietly had her last breath in my arms. I first held her when she was born and was privileged to enjoy her full life. Episode 5 overwhelmed me and I couldn't hold back my grief of her loss.
I'm Canadian - we lost our first 2 games so we are out regardless of 3rd match. The dream was fun while it lasted. SIGH... Now back to SILENT when it next broadcast!!!! But while waiting for each episode of SILENT, on Netflix showing now is First Love: Hatsukoi! The makes the wait for SILENT ep 08 more bearable.
I dropped this after a few episodes. I was honestly surprised how Taipei was portrayed as just this cold heartless city, and how Tainan was just a countryside with bumpkins. I had not been back to Taiwan over a decade or so and so I talked to my Taiwanese buddy asking him had that much changed since I stopped travelling there. And he reopened my eyes to the real Taiwan, and I just couldn't take watching this any more - actually I am very annoyed with this drama. I plan to head back to visit all my friends there and will personally see the real Taipei.
I really loved this series - binged it this evening. So happy the entire series was complete - unlike other current dramas having to wait week by week. It took a little bit to get the rhythm of the different time periods, there were a lot of cues from various technologies of the time, and the different hues and tones helped. At the first episode I did get mixed up a bit when the school scenes jumped between ML and FL, and then the son's classes. But once I started to identify the characters at different ages, it was really enjoyable.
Together but not in a romantic way. The two have been in a couple dramas together and have shown some really great chemistry, and I really would like to see them in a full romcom one day.
That scene with Seo - Are you a prosecutor or are you a lawyer - just tell them my title is blublublbublbuuu -…
Yeah the car sale episode! He's actually quite the athletic actor, loved that flying kick he performed across the van in the parking lot to save JiHun (who had already walked away and left him alone with all those thugs). I got to appreciate his performances in other series - like in EAW and in Good Detective 2. He has been in many support roles, it would be interesting if he might be able to do a ML role one day.
Well, that went downhill quickly. Not even Nam Goong Min could save the second half for me. I felt his backstory…
That scene with Seo - Are you a prosecutor or are you a lawyer - just tell them my title is blublublbublbuuu - had me rolling! As I'm sure those giggles from the co-actors were likely genuine bloopers too!
So after watching the entire series, I'm having mixed reactions. While the first half of the series got me invested with the characters, and the various cases were interesting watching the lawyers wrangle their ways through to help the distressed and downtrodden, then the series plunges into a second half of darkness, sadness and vengeance. While I get the backstory bit as it helps for us to understand his arc, we are watching the second half the series mapping his revenge. Honestly I am not a fan of these bait and switch - light hearted with a tease of will-they/won't-they romance then turning into serious drama (the body count stacks up in second half). While the finale satisfied as to tying up most loose ends that were built up since episode 6, the series as a whole really didn't work for me. I started into the series expecting quirky funny legal cases, with a side of budding romance, but ended up with as a full blown corporate corruption/murder drama. I sort of hoped when I started watching this series was it was a more funny version of Attorney Woo with quirkier cases, and with our 2 lawyers getting tangled up by romance. And while there were glimpses of that, never came to be.
honestly these last 4 episodes both story and scheduling have become a mess. Someone screwed up big with the rework of the series from 16 to 12, and now the schedule is down to crap - we have to wait one more week for the finale. Disney probably put tons of pressure on the Korean production to bend, and now it's just a typical piece of disjointed Disney garbage.
2 episodes left, yeah I'm guessing love is off the table unless there may be a second season. I'm suspecting he's a one love of a lifetime guy and while the new office attraction is cute, I think the trauma still exists inside him.
Firstly I am enjoying this drama immensely, and I really like all the characters. But I really wanted to give both boys a smack to the side of their heads on how they were deciding how to end their respective relationships with Tsumugi. Okay, I can get that 18 yo Sou might have done it rashly, and 26 yo was trying to be the white knight and be noble about it, but honestly Tsumugi is treated like she doesn't have the ability to decide for herself who she wants to be with? Seeing her expression honestly is heartbreaking. In both cases she was seemingly totally content and quite in love (I think she is in love with Minato, but of course different from her love of Sou earlier) and totally broadsided with a break up notice. I mean, she must feel like she's hit by a bus each time! So while I am enjoying the series and the characters, I am somewhat annoyed that both guys are doing the noble thing of sacrificing their love, but really guys... talk to her first!!!
