I'm choosing to believe that ages "Twenty Five, Twenty One" were more significant than a break up due to their jobs. Perhaps not what I expect but if it was only going to be that.. I'd call it Twenty Four, Twenty 😅
I find it odd that TVN would specifically react to those supposed leaks( whether it’s true or not) with that…
Hmmm, if it was legitimate leak from a staff member then I guess can understand it. Esp, if it was causing controversy.
Whoever said that spreading outrage over a few days instead of early monday morning is definitely onto something though. Perhaps this way the fans can focus on the beautiful story instead.
Definitely worth differentiating between what is a spoiler/leak and what is an official release from TVN, they are very different in intention and action.
The article this morning and pictures are from TVN and COULD be misleading. It's also possible that TVN only posted certain details due to community site outrage.
The spoilers posted to community sites are from supposed staff with no proof and back up except that 2521 fans are going crazy.
It may be a curve ball but they released the stills earlier than they usually would so I agree with what someone said on Reddit about managing expectations early on and spreading out the reaction over 5 days instead of come Monday morning.
I think the best course of action is to go in believing it's not an end game and if there's a different outcome or a reconciliation later... then be pleasantly surprised.
I don't know if that "spoiler" is true but the dialogue doesn't sound very 2521. It was a bit basic for a show with such great dialogue 🥲 but if it ends up being true, I'll be very very disappointed that someone ruined it for me.
Y’all if we’re looking at things at face value, HD & YJ do not end up together.MC is not their daughter because…
I agree but the writer has also purposely created a situation where Yijin COULD be the father? I agree it's a little far fetched but by being purposely vague at times (Yijin's job could very well taken him out of the country for periods of time) they've created a hope in the fanbase which I personally think could go beyond simply wanting viewers to tune in week to week?
That isn't to say I think 100% they ended up together but really, other than Minchae not recognising him, he could be married to Heedo imo.
I would also be cautious to take anything the writer shows us at face value. I've been wrong about this show A LOT (😭) so I honestly think anything could happen this weekend. I think it would be interesting if they had the idea that "some things don't last forever (careers, some friendships, youth) but other things (Heedo and Yijin) can last with hard work" 🤣 Tbh, other than drifting apart I really don't understand what force is going to drive them to break any time soon.
I feel heartbroken to say this but I've kind of accepted that Yijin and Hee Do won't be OTP. Although up until…
This sounds very much like someone projecting 🤣
Is Yijin not allowed to have dreams - does he have to prioritise Heedo over his family, his job and ambitions? I agree that he is very confused but I remind you that he is 23 (internationally). He is an almost painfully young man in a position that he knows he only got based on luck. He is 23 and terrified of what his job means for the person he loves.
We know he grows up to be a mature, successfully anchor. I would suggest you cut him some lack. Jiwoong and Heedo's decisions have never impacted the people in their lives the way Yijin and Yurim's do.
I like to see people like you around, you give a whole community hope 😭😭
The only thing that is hard to explain is Minchae not recognising Yijin but they COULD spin that to mean she was asking her grandmother if she recognises Baek Yijin?
Like, I might be suspending my belief a little but I'd rather do that (to an extent) than her marry some random Kim.
I'm very convinced that Yijin and Heedo married but kept their marriage a secret, naming Minchae "Kim" officially and announcing that Heedo married a nameless Mr Kim.
I can see it going another way but I think the time left isn't sufficient to tell a compelling story as to why they parted ways. If they had started it 3 episodes ago, I could behind it but going from 0-100 in two episodes is quite hard.

And I'm definitely not ~with hope~ anymore but things may not be what they seem I guess.

(Oops, this got long)
Personally, I'm just mourning the loss of the show. This time next week I won't have a 2521 episode to look forward to🥲

Also, episode 14 ending is worse IMO maybe you should make that episode 13.
