Yes, exactly! Believe me I am firmly in the camp that it's inappropriate for them to have a relationship but I've seen words thrown around that make no sense and are borderline offensive. I simply want a time skip so we can re-establish their ages and their life perspectives, not some weird storyline where we wait for Heedo's graduation and her magic change into adulthood.

These are the same people who had a problem with him hanging out with "high schoolers" platonically from the start though so not sure I expect much from in terms of critical thinking.

Agree about Yijin maturity but sometimes they also highlight that he's still very much still young and struggling and also fresh out of high school. People who go round calling him a "grown man" are also very strange because I certainly did not feel grown at 22 lol.

I personally don't think he meant love in that way regardless and I don't think he said it expecting anything from her so I'm OK to keep watching. Honestly, I just wish they'd move onto 2000 and 2001 so I can stop holding my breath every time they come on screen and I worry the writer is gonna cross another line :/

I also wonder if this being Heedo's POV (as told from her diary) is supposed to colour the story in any way ?

I personally do find the high schooler thing uncomfortable considering it kinda added nothing to their dynamic and could have been skipped to a scene later on but I am willing to watch and let it develop because I feel like there has to be an explanation of some kind IDK.... ?

What I find more strange than Yijin's confession is that the current situation makes no sense in light of the show's official teaser. It's why I still struggle to understand how Yijin could have meant romantic love.

It's not even a mistranslation or up to interpretation, the teaser SAYS we met at 18 and fell in love at 21. I don't understand how the current scenario where we've had confessions at 19 and 23 even fits. It's not like an old synopsis, it's the show's official teaser??

The writing is def the problem. They have pushed the age difference between the characters very very hard and made it impossible to ignore. It's so evident at times I wonder if it's almost intentional? I wonder if next week will.. illuminate the situation lol.

True but my personal gripe with it is that these are her first friends and I feel like it would have evoked strong emotions vs. a regular school trip? Which is why i kinda lean to her purposely trying to block memories (though not amnesia lol)

I agree - feel like they really need to speed it up. Although they managed to take Yurim and Heedo from bitter enemies to best friends in 2 episodes so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt if they can nail the time skips. Personally, I think his confession will be backtracked into something more platonic, otherwise not sure how I feel about it.

There were two alternative synopsis' that gave different descriptions based on age but I think 20, 24 is the hurt stage which might be glossed over a little?

So 11, 12, 13: 20, 24

14, 15, 15: 21, 25 ?

Or they'll really just push it so that 21, 25 is the last episode which.. lol

I think the next episode will be the last one before they graduate - I don't really see what there's left to cover in this year since Yurim and Heedo have made up. Maybe the beach scene is a graduation trip? We've also now covered almost every single scene from the original teaser so I think the high school period is coming to an end.

this is a kinda MAJOR spoiler but from heedo's will/diary released before the show aired we know who won and the fall out of that win. it spoils some other things too so proceed with caution.

yeahhhh i agree the dialogue never really strays from a platonic relationship like nothing yijin says is really beyond a deep friendship.
