Hmmm. Mixed emotions with episode 12. A pretty chill finale, although a bit more eventful than the first few episodes. Not the fairytale ending I was expecting from a lighthearted romcom because the closure was lacking in so many ways. Underwhelming, really.

On a serious note - this drama poked fun of itself by highlighting the similarities between the main couple vs Grandpa’s daily drama, but it also broke the stereotypes when it comes to the resolution - both in the case of the two couples. Business Proposal is seriously ending stronger than how it started.
I absolutely love episode 10 just for showing the relationship dynamics alone.
Other dramas focus on the male lead being the perfect boyfriend but in this episode, it showed how Ha-ri is the perfect one for Tae-moo. The little things she did for him (her initiating holding hands, asking him on a date, etc.)—and for him to actually notice and acknowledge her effort, how she respected his space and how she did not prod about his trauma—just wonderful.

Oh trust me, I don’t hate San San. She is a really great friend who watches out for her sisters. But being a great friend doesn’t automatically make her a great advisor either.
Her views and approach to love are very different from Yin Xi and Zhixao, who mostly likely have zero knowledge to dating prior to their current relationships. She can give different POVs and not restrict them to her own subjective views.
Of course, giving advices and blindly listening to that advice is a two way street. I’m not blaming San San, I’m simply pointing out that there will be different outcome for different relationships.
A typical shoujo romance with evil teens and crazy dramatics, aka a complicated high school life. Delusional second leads and return of the ex-partner aside, I love how the main couple communicated all throughout their relationship; no break ups.

But this is just the smaller issue on this film. The real problem lies in its distortion of history. A lot of historians, journalists, and people who are involved themselves (ex.
