super excited. i grew up watching ariel lin and jerry yan dramas. correct me if I'm wrong but this is their first drama together?!?!
i saw the synopsis on xhs and it's about this couple who have been married for 10 years, they no longer feel any passion and their marriage is on the verge of ending because they are so indifferent towards each other. they both decide to give in their best efforts towards the marriage and try to save it.
the hello saturday episode should be released on feb 17th and according to people at the hello saturday venue, they said this drama *should have* started broadcasting before the hello satuday episode is released
oh boy. at the end of this both SF4 and SF6 will have low ratings on here because both sides are leaving low ratings regardless of the quality of the show. this hurts the MDL community who just wants realistic ratings. this also hurts Chinese dramas from reaching more people internationally. People see how high Korean drama ratings are on the same website and will choose to watch Kdramas instead of giving Cdramas a chance.
they filmed hello, saturday today! hello, saturday episode to be broadcasted 8th day of the lunar new year! bai jingting bought fans who waited outside hand warmers, raincoats, warm milk tea, and snacks. I'm so excited, this drama should be airing soon!!
kinda insane that january has been super dry lately with cdramas (top dramas didn't have eng subs) and then suddenly iqiyi and tencent drop sword and fairy 4/6 at the same time to fight. like good for ME i get two good dramas at the same time :D
Is first billing equal to getting paid more? Can someone explain that a little bit, please?
billing order is in the most basic way to explain it, the ranking in which the actors are paid but in reality it's a lot more than that. it's about the money but also pride, accomplishment, and responsibility cause first billing = more promotions and first name that pops up and brand deals, etc... which is why fans get so caught up in fanwars over it. but really seems like the people behind the drama are super messy and miscommunicated this to ju jingyi's side. now this has been an issue for over a year at this point, idk why they have yet to figure this out behind the scenes... cause if chen zheyuan's team is correct... they signed a contract that they will be equal billing???? it's not like that contract was signed yesterday so why haven't they communicated this to ju jingyi's team? why didn't it say that on ju jingyi's contract? the people in the back are just... ugh
I just feel so bad for the staff bts that work so hard to create these S/S+ dramas that might never see the light. + the actors on the projects. these could've been some of their breakthrough projects that they had high hopes about.
also it says a total of 20 ep but it's technically 10 episodes with 2 parts each episode. it's confusing cause in the cast list, it says certain guests appear at a certain ep but it doesn't match when looking at total number of episodes.
this drama is a 10/10 because i rewatch it multiple times throughout the years. the one thing that boggles my mind is... why is it her fate to die after completing her 49 days and getting the 3 required tears? i get that life can be cruel like that sometimes but that plot twist didn't add any value to the story. it seemed like they gave a sad ending just for the sake of it being a melodrama.
it's so sad that you say women don't tolerate this... because i WISH it were true but i was here when that episode was getting broadcasted and the amount of people defending it, turning a blind eye, or even trying to gaslight us was insane. like PLEASE LADIES (AND GENTS)... let's leave physical abuse behind. it's one thing to be a victim of domestic violence (or physical abuse in general)... but to watch it happen and still come up with "WELL WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN HIS SHOES?? HE IS TORMENTED AND HIS PAST BLAH BLAH BLAH" as an excuse gmfu.
this had such a strong first few episodes, then it went downhill when they made the male lead emotionally and physically abusive. i continued because this is dramaland and he apologizes to her (which btw y'all if this happened irl, please run even if they apologize lol) but the plot became so ????? towards the end when everything was getting explained. what a waste of a good cast and an interesting synopsis.
don't be concerned about him not having more projects, i promise he is super well-known in china and does not have a difficult time getting roles. it's him and his team that spends a lot of careful time picking his projects instead of having 5 mediocre projects a year. that's why he has so many highly rated works such as reset, new life begins, you are my hero, and destined.
i see so many comments on his and yangyang's page saying "why don't they have more projects???" which is a legitimate question but the answers some people come up with are SO outlandish, they'll say yangyang and bai jingting are getting slowly replaced by younger traffic stars and having trouble finding work... sure the newer and younger actors are some of my favs as well but stating those things as factual is so weird considering how both of the mentioned actors are super popular and nowhere past their prime.
on ep 26 and what im finding so satisfying is that 100,000 soldiers actually looks like 100,000 soldiers. in many dramas, they'll say they have an army of 100,000 soldiers and the crowd is literally maybe 300 people (or sometimes even less). it's soooooooooo satisfying to see an army that actually looks like an army.
