Bai Lu character 'Bai Shou' is also garnering so much praise same with Ao Rui Peng's character as Fan Yue. To those who are hesitant to watch this drama or wonder if it is really good, then I suggest rather than reading reviews posted already when drama hasn't finish airing, just start watching episode 1 and you'll eventually find out. Also best to avoid engaging with negative comments or comments from newly created/suspicious accounts. Let's enjoy watching this drama to the fullest since Bai Lu is back and Ao Rui Peng is killing his Fan Yue role 💜

I don't understand too, some accs are even created just recently. I've seen a few with similar creation dates like Jan 8 2025 and they came to flock here saying this and that. The creation dates alone shows intention, since this drama aired just a day before their accs were created.

I commend the costume stylist for this drama, everyone's outfit especially our four main leads look amazing in those costumes. There is even a color scheme for each character costumes specifically.

I really think mdl should upgrade their system and allow reviews only when a drama has finished. I noticed even before this drama started airing, someone already put up a review and I don't think such should be put up, it doesn't give justice to a drama and can't be considered accurate. I don't get it either, like why is there such a need for negativity, like it's not hard to focus only on what you love.

I watched ALP 2 years ago and can't recall much of the storyline in it, same with Last Immortal, as for the novel I just started reading while waiting for next episodes but others who are ahead already gave their explanations here:

From what I know as of now, Jing Yuan is Fan Yue's original god form but something happened to him leading to his death so he reincarnated into Fan Yue who is a demon but not a god. When he saved Bai Shou and her sister back then, he was still Jing Yuan an immortal who is capable of giving life but he long forgot all about that when he became Fan Yue which is why when they first met again and talked about the benefactor he had no recollection of memory about it. Bai Lu is truly a convincing actress, her emotional scenes are done so well. She easily can bring out the sad/painful emotions from her character in a snap. Her scene at episode 7 while she was just sitting and talking with the turtle eternal, another great portrayal of emotion there that deserve praise.

I loved the scenery for their conversation it was so pretty, especially with the crescent moon being shown it's straight out from a fairytale book, and yes I also feel Fan Yue is swaying a bit especially when he asked his male guard about how he thinks of when he is bored lol then he concluded she likes me.

yes, the ost is really addicting I didn't mind the spoilers at all and watched the intro at every episode...it was hard for me to skip because it was pretty

In my opinion, Bai Lu as Bai Shou and Ao Rui Peng as Fan Yue are perfect for their respective roles. Their chemistry and acting already had me.

I've been seeing some comments about FL and some of them I ignore rather than explain. It seems they just don't get her character at all and the storyline flow. I agree with what others commented above here, some do really lack patience by a lot. It's a 40 episode drama and they expect Bai Shou character to be perfect already. They are forgetting she is still a mortal who grew up under her loving father's care, she chased being an immortal all her life but she hasn't completely had a grasp of the reality of her own world because she was limited to her own room and small city with those books about immortality written by human with no proper actual immortal entity be it demon or eternals to actually train her to that path. Her first discovery about reality led to a traumatic event and she's holding onto Fan Yue as she has no other choice. Yes, she is clever and smart and may seem stubborn at times but that trait and all her other flaws are just being shown now as she just began to live out of her litte room. There is such thing as character development, it will happen in latter episodes it wouldn't be called character development if from the start, Bai Shou already has it all.
