Something about the romance department (as well as characterization) in this drama rubbed me the wrong way, but I like how things wrap up for the main leads in the end. Not a strong drama to me as it seems they tried to cover a lot of issues when romance is the dominating part of the plot, but in my opinion only a few were well done.

Doesn't matter tbh but I'm biased towards 88 so start with that haha
agree with your rec! I actually watched 94 first and got spoiled when the 97 cast made a cameo lol. not like I didn't know who was the OTP in 88 either, but it was sooo right to go with 97 after. 88 is such a huge improvement.

Title My Mister
Seriously, a gem. So so so many life lessons on so many aspects (I think I can find several note-worthy quotes in every episode) out of such a sad yet healing drama (towards the end). Tears come out so frequently that I think I'll never cry this much again in any other drama.
It seems to me that there are a few confusions and unnecessary stuff thrown in (though much of it I did love to see), and some things I wish could have been better explained. I will not list them out specifically, but my concerns have something to do with Donghoon's romance life with his wife, how Jian and CEO Do Joonyoung relationship started, about the name mess, the monk side story...
For all those concerns (whether they are justified as objective or not), I will give this drama a solid 9/10. Though I'm not sure about the dramas I rated 10 in my watch list, My Mister is 100% a must watch for all k-drama fans.

Side note about IU's acting, she's excellent playing Lee Jian! I actually loved her in Producer but then Moon Lovers happened and I had to drop it at ep 2 as I couldn't stand both her character and acting. In this drama, she was so convincing and she truly owned the role and I got back to have faith in her again. Great job to IU! I know she is capable of becoming a successful actress in the future.
Last but not least, the cleaning truck & the eat-then-poop talk (& just about whenever the other brothers fight lol) deserve a mention. They were my best mood-lifters during my watch!

What a nostalgic show about family and neighbor relationship! I would've given it a full 10 if the writer hadn't focused/ built Junghwan's character so well like that. I had a second lead syndrome so hard on this show, probably because of that did I not truly feel Taek x Deok Sun chemistry :/ which was kind of sad. Instead of dragging out a few parts of the show, I think it would have been even better if they had squeezed in more romance for Deok Sun x Taek.
The writer's romance view points probably do not clash with mine. All of the Reply series do not appeal to me in the romance department.
Well, at least not for Bora x Sunwoo couple though. They were cute!

I loved the epilogues with real Haejun lmao. I miss How to avoid the sun t-t
I shipped Hongnan and Yiyeon's bodyguard! They were so cute together ♥
Joking aside, I think this drama was good and unique. The cast were great together. I still found some events a bit "makjang" so it stole some of my enjoyment away from the show, but overall, I see the message the writer wants to deliver.

I only see trash and najeong as siblings so it's super uncomfortable to watch their intimate romantic scenes. overall the drama was too long but I did love the characters; their dialogues always entertain :)

From now on I will read the tags and description before watching lol. Looking at the poster made me think it was a normal romance show. The plot is super neat. I just wish we get to see more of Yoon Huijae, what happened to him in the past, and what exactly led him to kill off Nakwon's parents (the lack of the husband's presence whenever the wife was mentioned though...)
I personally love Heo Joonho and Nam Dareum's performances among the (great) cast.

It's really so rare for me to laugh so hard and shed so many teardrops for the same show. I enjoyed this so much that I overlooked a few shortcomings this show has. Forget it, the things that really matter are the beautiful messages throughout the neat (maybe too neat) 12 episodes, and the enjoyment I have had with this show. Re-watching something is sometimes super hard for me to do, but with this show I would 100% go back in the future!

This drama delivers a nice message. The romance is not my cup of tea though because either I see KS' feeling towards Mirae is a bit forced, or KS' character is not to my liking, or Eunwoo's acting is too confusing to understand. The plot is too neutral-toned all the way through except for the last episodes; my loss to decide to watch this only for Eunwoo's visual at first.
Mirae's character though is super well-built. I love her.

ahhhh. This show was so good especially the second half. No romance, office-themed yet so thrilling. There are many valuable scenes, funny scenes, and super emotional scenes. I picked this up after 4 years at episode 8 so probably the first 8 episodes didn't hook me up like how the rest did ^^'

Oh my god. This actually is not an unpopular opinion!
I guess I grade shows more and more generously as time goes by. I stop looking into details and just see the overall idea of it. The message is good and I actually felt like there was a proper romance development through out. I actually do have counter opinions to those listed above but since this discussion has basically closed months ago, I'd just say... I still find this show compelling!

The message this movie wants to deliver is too old-fashioned already so I only looked forward to the unique (and absurd) approach which is Woojin's transition, to see the handsome faces (namely Park Seojoon, Lee Jinwook, Seo Kangjoon, Lee Dongwook, Yoo Yeonseok, Lee Hyunwoo). But I did enjoy it anyways. What a cute love story.

Lee Jinwook is such an eye candy. I love his parts the most ♥

Her stubbornness is really getting annoying. The story is interesting, but her wanting to stick to writing even…
She's been pursuing writing all her life but only now has she got the chance to show her skills in a professional workplace. Plus how many people has she killed? None that I know off so far actually.

The title fits this drama perfectly I think this is a brilliant title. Everything feels so unclear in this drama, the romance, the backstory, the characters' behaviors, the crimes... I think that's why people have very opposing opinions for this drama. Some nit pick on every detail so it easily turns out a bad drama which I don't disagree. Some choose to look at the picture from a larger scale with more open mind and it easily becomes a masterpiece and I can agree with them on that.
Both sides have their right and wrong. I guess that's why it's called Misty.

On a not-so-serious note, I became a fan of Ji Jin Hee after this. He looks so damn fine ;_;
Both main leads have done a great job. Their acting was superb.

It’s interesting to me that there are so many comments regarding this drama about the story development, plot…
So have you watched it? I think the message is there in this drama and it's thought-provoking. Pretty deep and not just superficial casual message any average drama can deliver. I think it was wroth it even though I agree the ending got on my nerves a little.

I think he thinks he's still in love but actually it was just lust at the present. He just doesn't seem all that serious to me like how Hyeran's husband acts towards her.
