cliched, minor character falling in love, dramatic plot events. but female lead is strong and her characterization is very nice to see (except the parts involving the minor love interest). the main couple has great chemistry. and i'm super glad they don't do wedding as the ending bullshit. he needs more time to develop and both of them to figure out what's best for them. and pretty turned off with the kiss in last episode lol.
loved namra over the naive, sometimes overpowered onjoo (she shows multiple times she has brains but multiple other times she's an airhead which confuses the hell out of me). cheongsan was cute (loved the actor). it ends in nowhere, and the plot is just messy and unorganized. no solid punchline whatsoever, nothing new to the table, skippable, but i do look forward to a season 2 if it's happening. p.s. my sister and i keep laughing because of how ridiculously fast the zombies are in this one.
mediorce drama to say the least. if i were to rewatch or give you a guide to which parts to watch, i'd recommend watch the romance parts (until their first kiss maybe, afterwards they are put in this melodrama mess that's just tasteless), all prince and the commoners parts until he got back to the palace (because those were peak comedy moments, and uhh, that's it. i really adore d.o here <3 as for female lead, she got no real personality sorry not sorry. it's as though she's a plot device to keep the plot going, absolutely passable. the only female that is interesting here is the gisaeng. oh god, she got my heart.
it's got more subplots than i would like, but i liked the police - best friend romance though, they cute as hell TvT i'm probably in the minority that didn't like the main leads for some odd reasons. they were flawed and they had their good traits but i guess i just didn't like their quirks lmao.
i love the sountrack that was played at the rolling credits at the end of most (?) episodes. finished watching, action-packed and sohee shined with those action scenes. not sure about her expressions most of the time but i guess it's her dead-inside kind of character. have no idea why mujin raised her in the first place. he could let her die in that 1st episode or whatever, she wouldn't be able to get to him anyways. before the plot twist mujin was fine af. i sure hoped the big villain was some man in the police force that would be far more interesting methinks. p.s. btw the chemistry between mujin and jiwoo was unrivaled
there were some concerning plot armors and plot holes but it was a very good watch for me probably also because it's my first approach to this survival game thing. leaves a lot for improvements, and the ending leaves me hanging wanting a sequel real bad. i especially love watching hoyeon x jiyoung & hajoon x his bother storylines.
A kid could question and be a threat to what she can provide for her biological son.
I don't quite get it still ^^' Eunsoo and daughter would probably lead a quiet life as can be seen from the show she wasn't the most interested in finding out the truth behind the crime
Writer should have explained more about Kim Horan, how she ended up having a secret son. Also Eunsoo's ex-husband why he adapted his father's abusive traits when he hated it so much and even protected his mother and supposedly killed his father because of it when he was younger (that's like plot device to me not natural characterization but again they showed very little about it). I really enjoyed the slow-burn, somewhat angsty romance (could have been great if there's more scenes!) and the plot events pacing was good enough to binge watch. Nevertheless, the main storyline I suppose has a major plot hole: why the hell is Kim Horan still so obssesed with Eunsoo and want her to suffer so much when she already served 10 year of jailtime in place of her son?? It would be more logical for her to just let Eunsoo live peacefully with her daughter.
Weak characterization, not enough background stories shown to make them truly likeable but due to circumstances…
please recommend me a drama with love affair but the reason is not because the spouse does them bad and there's more sexual tension. The main leads here are too cute for that.
Weak characterization, not enough background stories shown to make them truly likeable but due to circumstances I could sympathize with FL until she starts cheating, I guess I'm really against cheating no matter what the reasons are. Pacing was too slow. Still dislike Jungwoo's partner as she used to go out with someone's husband and acts like women living in Korea are worst like? I also dislike Jungwoo for agreeing to become her husband as he had several chances to tell her off but dude still went along with it even when he had feelings for someone else.. The ending gives good closure to almost everyone though.
if you aren't a fan of any of the cast and pulled through 4 eps, I'm seriously jealous of your patience. even with my fav as the lead I couldn't be entertained one bit. storytelling, plot, characters, directing, why can't i find any good thing to talk about lmao.
It's a good slice of life drama portraying old people and their own struggles in life and certainly changed my shallow opinions about elders. The side story between Wan and her sunbae puts me off but everything else was well put together. Since all actors are veterans they all know how to emote. They made me cry a lot OTL
