but that emperor is wilding though, sent off zz to investigate alone, couldn't even give him two henchmen. just thoughts and prayers. he does have that imperial token, but i ain seen him use him yet.
bai yu tang saw the brothers that killed his dear friend brother fan and not even a sliver of acknowledgement crossed his face, he just twirled away. after all that mourning he did? lmao. all is well though bc once again one bad guy took out the other shortly after🙃
Very good point, but also Zhan Zhao is working under Magistrate Bao (known for his fairness) and with direct order…
from what i've seen of that emperor, i don't think he would mind if the ml dug a deep hole and threw some of those criminals down it while he gathered his evidence. and that's another thing his principles birth, the hope that some of these bad guys will kill each other or get taken out by the main bad guy, bc genuinely what's his point then
You are comparing the principles of an assassin with that of a high-ranking government official. Su Muyu was an…
you'll notice that my main criticism wasn't about him not killing pple, i stated that in my 1st sentence. he can follow the law to the t and gather all the evidence he wants, his spotless morals just don't mean much to the people he's meant to be protecting
i don't mind zz's principles, however there are many stops between straight up executing a perp in jianghu and exporting them to the far away capital to face some dubious justice system after building a case, and he doesn't seem to consider any of them which is silly since he has no means of securing said perps who just end up escaping and killing many more innocents. your sense of justice means nothing when you value it above the lives you should be protecting. its like his principles make him duller and generally just drag the story around in circles, which should not be the case.
the last drama i watched where the ml was also strictly defined by his principles was blood river, but it was fun watching that ml interact with his while zz just looks like he's in prison. ik its a cops and robbers comparison, but it's amusing
the first handful of eps were really good and entertaining, its kinda making me apprehensive about the rest of it. i hope the quality and story stay the same
the two mls got rid of their rivals with one scheme 🤣🤣that's pretty funny. if only jin zhao's irritating cousin could have also been implicated somehow, then it would have been perfect
the wang dude that set up the relief grain embezzlement plot is so embarrassing, even that little boy emperor could see through the plot after one glance 💀just evil vibes no sense
i was so disgusted when grandma gu was begging jin zhao to save her son, just her son. she didn't care about her grandsons, or jin zhao's father (glad that man is in jail btw), all she cared about was her favourite bio son. even the fictional boy mums are never beating the allegations
i liked the kiss scene in ep 21, it was very tame which is to be expected but body language ooh tension oooh posture ooh hands ooooh intent ooohh chemistry oooh mood ooooh and the conversation just before that? awww
i really like the way he looks at her, like he's literally searching for something deep within her eyes. oh stop that's practically a damn romance novel!
I have to wonder if everyone who rated this so high just hasn't watched very many cdramas? Because this is so…
i struggled to finish it as well, it got really boring after the first quarter and never recovered. i believe its rated so high bc they frontloaded all the good stuff, and the director is a literal wizard at establishing the tension between his leads.
fu hai lian and chen san ye's relationship is one of the best parts of this drama, they're clearly playing a game of chess but neither of them can admit it yet...the tension? 🤌🤌stifling!
the ml has been very wary of him from their very first scene together, so yea he's definitely not a good guy.…
i can't remember assigning good or bad to him, he was too calculated and cunning for all of that. yeah i also liked cpp more than the emperor in certain plots, that emperor though, he was hot ðŸ¤ðŸ¤«but so scary omg
