when they finally caught yuping and dragged her before the leads in ep 15, the way they and their bodyguard/maid were sitting/standing had me like - wait, did they get married already?! did i miss a scene?! turns out no 😞

i regret starting this so soon, i should have waited until at least 25 episodes were out, but i also didn't anticipate it was going to be such an easy enjoyable binge, sigh.

i actually quite liked the mum, sure she was foolish, weak, slow, muddle headed and just unfortunate, but she was also very beautiful, kind, gentle and generous. and that evil man didn't rest until he hounded her to death, and yes he absolutely knew what he was doing! so sad. she's now one of my favourite bad cdrama fl mums

in the beginning i was thinking her family actually really aren't that bad, they're more dumb than wicked. i was even amused at how she and her father share similar personality traits. but omg things just kept getting worse!

cdramas really need more ci sha like mls. like desperately. and ren min plays off him so well, even if their chemistry has been live screen tested a couple of times, their cp could still have been a disaster, but no they're just an absolute tense ball of delight

must be nice to be rjl - your dialogues are post it notes compared to the literal paragraphs every one else needs to rattle off, and all you gotta do is sit still or stare off into the distance and say one or two lines in every ep, just way below even the bare minimum. but people will still eat it up and blame your fl - who is doing the best with her absolute poop of a character. oh well, at least she's getting paid, and hopefully she gets more better written roles in the future

ep 10 and i'm annoyed at the fl's negative character development and regressing plot line, they really yanked away all her awesomeness and personality once dude erased her memory. that's some unnecessary catfishing. their little prince OP ml would still have been fine - actually no her previous fierceness would have eaten him up lol. what a damn shame, was really looking fwd to more of her rampage

how exactly does this ml's brain work? he watched her duke it out with hella people and make all those powerful enemies who know her face, yet he erased her memory and left her vulnerable and at a disadvantage bc why? the audacity and foolishness of him. watch them kill him off at the end too rather than keep him alive and make him pay for it à la ye hua

this drama has one of the oddest openings ever, and it's done in such a droll manner.

little foxy fell in love and it literally destroyed him, he essentially became an entirely different person bc of his bitter love. i feel bad for him, but he simu is doing the right thing here, and i luv her for that. also its kinda poetic that the love changed him, but she as the immortal is unchanging. my heart aches for them, but i can't ship them

i didn't ship them in the end. he desperately needed a life outside her, and she didn't really like him as much, or maybe it's her acting (twas very mid). overall it feels like i wandered into someone's messy stalker fantasy. it's a good showcase for the newbie ml though

it's understandable. she's still quite young and green, and he adapted to that. i actually like that he's always conscientious with his kissing scenes, it's one of my favorite things about him.

i'd like a s2, but the ml needs to do better, his performance was the weakest among them all

these last three eps just really brought it to the fore that he's been stalking her for six years and 😬😬that's not ok ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww. all the cuteness i was sensing earlier, poof gone like smoke. even worse that she now likes him too. this is definitely not something young impressionable minds should consume
