i dislike writing like this so much, bc wdym the entire family of your beloved was massacred, she thinks you did it, with evidence btw, so she marries another man in grief and for revenge and the only thought in your head is that she betrayed you. like not even one second of sympathy for her loss, all he cared about was if she slept with her husband and how to force himself on her and shame her 🗑️ performances weren't too bad though
couldn't get past three episodes. the actress still being so green is a contributing factor, but mainly the storyline is too plain, and the dialogues are too hammy
i really liked this, i picked it up randomly and binged it all the way to the end. i didn't find the cases very compelling, a lot of the sub plots were too hastily wrapped up, and some of the performances weren't that good (looking at you ml).
but the politics and the law firm were interesting to me, maybe bc i haven't watched a legal drama in forever. the characters though were the true stars of this drama, they were so endearing! i wouldn't mind a 2nd season, although i was also satisfied with the way things ended. recommend ✅
i recommend 😊☺️, its not great, but its watchable. i came here for he lan dou, and she didn't disappoint. what a lovely actress, look forward to seeing her in many more things. the actor is okay, he gets bonus points for his character, i love a ml w a lil anger in him, he complemented the fierce fl perfectly. it's very odd that she clearly still liked him in the 1st life despite how badly he treated her but lol oh well
predictably i did start to like this less after the soul swap. pre swap the fl's main draw was that she was fearless, strong and she always tried to solve her own problems, now poof all of that is just gone and replaced with a constantly quivering mess 🙄 like are we just supposed to forget what she was like the first four episodes? and he's just over there doing whatever. so disappointing

having said all that though i really dislike stories where the good guys are murdered callously and the bad guys responsible get a soft and compassionate ending, because tell me why leyu was weeping over yin cong in the end? the woman that plotted against her the entire drama and used her to murder her husband, the love of her life! she cried over yin cong as hard as she cried over her husband and that just really sucked.

another callout was their relationship, so so so satisfying!! i was also a fan of the way the romance was written, it was never the main focus, politics was, yet it was always active in the background, finely threaded through the story and developing alongside everything else.
i didn't want to 😔 , but i finally finished it. i literally cannot think of one bad thing to say, what a wonderful drama! totally recommend! thank you to all the cast and crew for this heartwarming creation 🧡
ep 14 was good, our yuyu's character growth, baby xiao wu stepping out, lin jie and yuyu's b/story.,the only thing i didn't like was that we didn't get to see xiao wu fight ouyang
also can we talk about jiajia? beautiful, sensible, composed but not serious, great style, kills it at her job, knows exactly what she doesn't like, even has a cool biker dad, definitely one of my favorite contemporary fls
