if you think about what happens in the beginning in light of what happens after ep 11 it all makes so much sense!🤣😂🤣🤣 I liked being fooled what a delight!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
this could have climbed into the ranks of Hard to Find or Deliberations of Love if only it had some more budget and the writing was better and the ending wasn't lame. like both leads' performances were emotional and really good, but their dialogues let them down! still I enjoyed watching them fall in love, no kisses or nothing for the first 18-ish eps meant they had to stand solidly on their chemistry, and it turned out well
its like Tan Yan Yan knows i've been side eyeing her for playing stiff expressionless characters so she gave us something animated for once, and it worked! the ml was sad the entire drama and you don't find out why until the very end poor baby, and Hei Ze pulled that off nicely too. I wouldn't recommend bc it generally wasn't well done, but I liked the actors
when daddy marquis came to zang hai's defence during the court session in ep 22 😊😊😊. I know it happened through hook and crook but awww. why does that zhuang son embezzle so much money?? like no one is forcing him and his parents are wealthy does zang hai not find it odd that he's somehow uniquely positioned to find that seal? smh. its easy to get played when you're laser focused on one thing
ep 18 - our boy is a full fledged official and is now flexing his muscles very nice. I hope he gets his revenge but I also like the marquis too sooo 😮💨. I wanna say may the best man win but then I remember his lil sis and yeaa no i'm gonna need that revenge served on a cold platter. is qu jiao really dead btw? (rhetorical) feels like the marquis hid him away for a rainy day and then told everyone he died
so far I like how intuitive zh's revenge is, he's well equipped but he doesn't have detailed plans for every step and continually puts his life on the line and I think that's interesting, and kinda befitting seeing that his father was also a small fish and essentially powerless. there are holes though that make it seem like zh himself despite being in control is in fact a tool hmm... can't wait to see what happens!
up to ep 16 now and the marquis still hasn't killed zang hai despite the many many reasons to do so simply because of his pride. the more everyone warns him zh is dangerous and gunning for him the more he wants to keep him and 'tame' him as a testament to his own prowess. so its like his own hubris is a greater threat to him than zh. I really like his character, he's a solid villain 💯

I can't remember the last time I started a drama that made me go wttfff lol but this one sure did. I've only seen the first ep though, i'm going no further bc i'm not in the mood to watch a mangotv drama 😤
damn when I saw alcoholism I thought they were gonna shy away from it or dance around it or soften it somehow bc of the fl but damn, 3 eps in and so far they ain't stutter, not once. just telling it as it is, and the truth is indeed bitter
they had their full memories in 'heaven' before they went into the cycle, so they were able to accept their love for each other. when they were thrown back into the reincarnation cycle, they retained their memories and their love in each life or regained it at some point.
at the redo of their first life, resentment could not take root in him bc he was already filled with his love for her, and she becomes his empress (implied)
2nd life there was never a plague bc he never became the asura in the first life, she finds him and they pick up from where they left off
3rd life she becomes his master and they're in love. he never becomes the asura and she never has to become a celestial, and happily ever after!
I just watched the first ep and I didn't really like it. fl was unkind and money obsessed and I don't like mistaken identity/right groom wrong carriage tropes. but all that aside it just occurred to me that mini dramas have really ate up the gaps dramas like these left, they don't make as many of them as they used to
ke ying is such a lovely actress, I really wanna see her in a 1fl role in a full length drama. if ryan cheng can so can she, I think she's almost there anyway
adopting a bl into a straight romance has never once worked, and it will never work. why do they keep doing this? like from a financial perspective it just makes no sense. there are many many straight romance IPs, but no you want the bl fan base, but you took out the bl. clowns
The number of times ML kept silent like an impotent dick, I just can’t. Just general bad writing all round.
and come to find out in ep 19 there was no great reason why he couldn't tell her. such stupid writing, and it unintentionally makes the ml cruel too. zero stars
