wei yan told zhonglin not to fall for manman, his whole wife mind you! then he promptly went back and drew half naked pictures of her. there are mad people everywhere, even in this fictional universe. its zhonglin's fault for asking him and treating him like a sane person
oh he loves her! true some men are less complicated than some women. while she's still dithering and wondering if he's the right match, he has already decided to marry and protect her, and started tossing her intense looks filled with curiosity🥰
one thing about liu shi shi, she does not play stupid characters, like ever. I even think that may be in her contract lmaoooo. and I always love her mls. they are always so 💯💯💯. and kudos to her for always choosing roles that play to her key strengths. she makes such smart choices as an actress, I really really wanna know who's managing her! having said all that though, I'm tired of staring at her character's poker face in this drama, she's been giving us literally nothing for 18 episodes now. lss's usually not great with wholesale emotions but its like this director enhanced that to like a million. what is the reason?! why make us stare at a beautiful empty vase for 36 episodes?? did we offend you sir?? do you think its cute? its not!
I was worried our fl wouldn't be able to handle her loud AF step sis and the concubitch but she's a smooth operatorrrr, smooooooooothhh operatorrrrrrrr 🎙🤸💃 love her!
i love wei shao's emotional journey and how consistent and sense making it is. the drama starts with him being pretty harsh on her bc of his family, and i love that hostility didn't just magically fade away now that he's fallen for her (mini dramas are the ones that mostly do this really well). it rubs off really nicely against her wanting to make things work against all odds. i'm curious to see if they will swap their roles in the last leg of the drama
I really really like how all in she is, how keen she is to make their union work (for many many reasons). she accepted him as her husband and never once looked back. she looks sideways (bc of her family) but ever since her conversation with grandma wei after the boya incident, you can literally see how she course corrected and fought her way closer to him. she's like the captain of her own ship. its super endearing
the cinematography is delicious and the ost is delightful! like the production clearly did not come to play!!! the story put me to sleep though lmao, i'll put the rest on hold for now. but yeah, gorgeous!
the romance is the least interesting part, thankfully so far they're not letting it overwhelm the bigger, more fascinating plot. I also like that they keep acknowledging that the spirits are not just trifling, someone else always started it.
gangcheol's mind works so sloppily. it's like he always has all the pieces to figure out what's happening before sht hits the fan but he doesn't care until something actually does happen. is this also how he was guarding her for those 13 years? smh
well glad that's cleared up now. gang cheol didn't tell her anything back then bc he was too busy resenting her lmao. and after her grandma died he still ain tell her bc he wanted to preserve her for his own ascension. not bc he secretly/unintentionally liked her (a very disgusting proposition btw)
ep 9 irked me. how was that one minister able to scheme against all of them so easily?! he tore through them like a wolf among sheep! the good guys need to get it together!!~!!
whoaaa look at how beautiful she is! those xianxias costumes, makeup, green tea bitch roles did not do her justice! but a girl's gotta eat. welcome dear to the other side! this drama is stupid so far though, sorry dear
love her!
i'm curious to see if they will swap their roles in the last leg of the drama
