I agree when the humans say they deserve to lead the world, that they are much better, gifted, resourceful, etc than the immortals who seem to have plateaued, but the thing is not once in this drama (at least up to ep 30) did we ever see the immortals force the humans to do anything, or even impose themselves on the humans in any way. so why the violence when no one was stopping them? why couldn't they just keep to themselves and keep making their progress just like zhi dai said?! if yuanzhong turns on them now they'll call him a demon 🙄

master yan's storyline was powerful. he went astray, his god confronted him and he immediately repented. like he IMMEDIATELY stopped and got back on the right path, no whining, no questions, no bargaining just repented and kept it moving. goddamn! gave me chills

zhi dai went back home to reunite with her father after literal decades and her brother killed him before she could...I hope they don't kill him quickly. draw it out, make him suffer.

but ji tanyin has great qualities too, chief of which are her undiluted purity and goodness. and those alone set her apart and above everyone else. basically they are both forceful good characters, and I like that

I really like yuanzhong! I mean I was advocating for him to destroy everything and i'm glad he didn't, but now that we moved past that I really like all the other sides of him that are coming to the surface. he's loyal, sweet, optimistic, regal, paternal, authoritative but in a gentle manner, thoughtful in the application of his power, respectful even to those beneath him, benevolent...basically he's more godlike than any of the other gods than we've seen. yes even ji tanyin

😭 when yuanzhong appeared behind him in ep 28 I fully thought the shock would just kill him right there🤣

I really like that they let yuanzhong run through and diffuse his terrorism on his own without her interference. it wouldn't have meant anything if she had been there to stop him or talk him off the ledge. best thing the drama's done so far imo

its been nearly a year, yet the mere thought of this drama still takes my breath away. sigh

the last time I saw ming jia jia was in a tale of love and loyalty, so when I saw her all tied up in the opening ep of this drama I was like what?? 🤯 she's STILL being abused?!🤣

the actress couldn't really bring sheng qing ru to life but I still liked a fl who stuck to doing things her own way till the very end. I also liked watching the ml be a marshall not only in name but also in deed, and they were passionate when the scenes demanded it. (no kisses until towards the end though). there are plot holes - don't even bother, and the fl and 2ml seemed to have more screen time than the main cp towards the end, despite all that and the sad ending, I would still recommend.
the 2nd and 3ml actors should get their own dramas. for the 2ml he earned it, and for 3ml the baby jiang, i'm trying to see something.

so he's throwing childish tantrums and verbally abusing her just bc he's jealous? and she's the one apologizing? I knew that whole stick by his side and serve him loyally until he dies premise would be a problem . just another excuse to turn yet another powerful fl into a doormat for love 🙄 🙄

I saw that a'xue actress exactly once many years ago in Nothing Gold Can Stay (pause for sob 😭) and I still recognized her when I saw her here although I couldn't immediately place it

bonus points - no ceos, and that lovely village nestled in the middle of those breath taking mountains eughh I almost think I should meditate!
