I feel like I could have really gotten into the 2cp's story. a woman that spends her entire long life only loving a man who doesn't know she exists, but then she magically regains her youth and the man finally notices her but she's too disillusioned for anything anymore I mean c'mon! there's potential there. but somehow this just isn't hitting

well I watched seven eps and no. I was really excited to see this cp together but just nope. I would watch a bl based on those two supporting actors though.

lu chen is still pei jiu, but the divine hand and the weapon spirits are one, they can't exist apart from each other so sigh poor yunniang unfortunately had to take the hit. it really sucks that this is her second aborted marriage too

lxy is such a well rounded actor though lol. that cave scene in ep 20 where yuanzhong was all unhinged and ranting was so well done. also credit to tang yan for partnering up with him so deftly, a true veteran👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I hate to side with a ml but yuan zhong was right in ep 19. it is absolute hubris that made her think she could descend and influence him and someone had to tell her whew like what do you know about his life and sorrows after he got the arm? but she's a goddess hubris comes with the territory so

well I finally finished and I liked the story's serious tone, the cp's serious relationship and the villain, who I can only describe as a disease. I also like the fl's costumes. apart from that heh I wasn't really a fan of the story itself in general, i'm pretty sure i'll forget this soon

don't quote me on this but it feels like he had some work done around his jaw which is why he couldn't really move his face? idk i remember him in shenli and he had some expressions there

so if you're newly checking this out just know that it is very slow paced, it is not action packed and the characters are not constantly running around or jumping from one plot to another. they.take.their.time. it is almost bordering on a slice of life. just fyi

aw so the master's unresolved obsession was the only thing keeping him alive???🥺 that is actually quite so sad. I didn't like him at first bc a whole goddess was bowing and scrapping at his feet, like sit up dude but after he told her the truth? awwww
also it was very nice watching tanyin focusing on something that didn't have to do with the ml for once

also what is up with that god realm? why are they not getting to fixing the celestial bridge or whatever? its hella people on earth who need to be ascending what are y'all as governors of the universe doing about it??
I can't believe tanyin didn't have anything to say to the poor guy undergoing continuous tribulations on the mountain when they left, she just walked on past him lol not nice

let the record show that the ml's attitude towards her changed after ep 11. poor boy's flabbers were so gasted, all the suspicion and unfeeling-ness (is that a word? heh I like it i'll keep it) drained out of him with the quickness.

I also sped through a bunch of the cutesy mummy daughter moments but yes the story starts to flow much more smoothly after she died.
(oh also, the woman never apologized to her daughter🙃)

no lol all sorts of people are drawn to a story for all sorts of reasons, not just bc of the story as a whole, which we only know at the end. this drama alone tried to cram in as many themes as possible so it can reach as wide an audience as possible bc of that very reason. and if the drama is impacted bc people didn't find what they came for in the first place as advertised by the drama, then that's on the drama

😂 I actually stopped watching and only picked it up again when I heard that she died. its why I'm not really fond of the drama's first half

just like it has the perfect amount of romance for you, it holds an inadequate amount for others and they are entitled to rate and comment based on that bc again romance was a key genre at the start. I do not mind myself eitherway but people's frustrations are understandable

with the thunder tribulation she took on behalf of mei shan , I feel like our girl should be able to ascend up one more godhood level. except it isn't poss...

I really liked ep 27, the women came together to help her and yunxi finally came clean, I even liked the concubine turning a new leaf and using her evil mind for good. the latter episodes are much stronger than the earlier episodes imo (ex the mum's performance ofc)
