I loved it, but I thought the ending was underwhelming. I liked the Moving crossover though.
I didn't like that they suddenly all found the light shop. If it was that easy, why didn't they find it sooner? I know that some of them willingly stayed either because they wanted to save their loved one or to stay with them, but I thought they should've gradually left, not all of them at the same time. I have to say though that I found the lesbians' story more complex than the other. It is very emotional that one of them stayed even though she found her light just to save the other, and the other one broke her light because she thought this is the only world where she can be with her loved one together. Kim Hyun Min's story is the definition of misery. Not only he left his loved one, but he has to continue his life in either world he choose being miserable, it is sad that he has no good choice whatsoever. It was easy to predict that the shop owner's daughter was one of the residents as soon as they told his story. I'm not saying that the ending was really bad, but I felt it was both rushed and dragged at the same time. Everyone left at the same time but they took their time leaving.
I didn't find it thrilling. It was mostly annoying. Great acting, but the directing is bad in my opinion, and I didn't like the parallel storytelling of the past and the present. It took away from the excitement, and all was left was waiting for the story to end. If you are a fan of thriller movies, you've probably seen this same story done better, but again those, like me, who like watching thrillers never expect an original story.
I haven't seen this yet but to be fair, hijackers in fictional media are usually Arabs or Muslims, so having black…
I know there are Somali pirates, but I assumed you meant an airplane hijacking, because I've rarely seen a drama where people use ships for transportation, it's usually done in Hollywood movies, like Captain Phillips. P.S. The majority of Somalis are Muslims, and Arabic is one of their languages, so there is that too.
why did they add those black hijackers 🤨not the first time whenever the need a villain from a foreign country.
I haven't seen this yet but to be fair, hijackers in fictional media are usually Arabs or Muslims, so having black hijackers isn't stereotypical at all. It is kind of an original thing. LOL
I didn't watch the original, but I watched the US remake and I liked it. I couldn't finish this one as it was very similar, and I can't see how the identity of the villain would be a twist if you can recognize his voice right away, they didn't even use something to hide it, unless there is no twist which makes it boring. I don't think I'll be able to finish it.
Also, I feel bad to say this but Jo Woo Jin is no Liam Neeson.
It's not bad but it is quite long and boring. If you've seen any movie that touches the same subject as this, you have seen this one. It is quite predictable, and the characters are always doing what you expect them to do. The events don't gradually happen, they just throw everything the character needs on its way. I wish real life was this simple where everything gets solved magically by just living it. I know I'm being negative, but I just expected it to be better. This is what you expect from a Korean drama, not a movie.
please only make it about the kids. the rest turned it into trash
I'm pretty sure it's a taste thing. Personally, I preferred the adults' stories. I would zone out when it's about the kids because they were quite uninteresting to me since I don't like high school romance/drama. I don't think they would get rid of all these brilliant actors just because some people didn't like to watch their background stories, especially since they are the reason most people decided to watch it in the first place.
I think the director had to make a lot of compromises due to the long gap between releases of part 1 and 2. I'd…
The recap was needed believe me, I had to watch a summary video on YouTube just so that I can remember who is who. I lost track of who was evil and who was good. But I think if he just combined them into one movie he wouldn't have needed the recap. The first part and the second without fillers and recaps can make a 3 hour movie which is quite common for movies and not bad.
Hmm... people... people...low budget, high budget...did you give them money? You guys complain about everything
Technically, if you watch it on an official website you did give them money. They invest their money for the drama to garner attention to pay what they have already paid. No one is complaining about the drama anyway, it's just an observation.
