Yes!! Finally someone who sees the potential in this drama^^ I was hoping for more fantasy and more explanations of the world they built but tbh many of the reviews I've read seem very unfair
same lol... i guess because we all did binge watching.. people who waited every week .. idk may be drama feels…
I was thinking the same thing!! I started watching yesterday and I'm on episode 12 now so I still feel very connected to the characters and I'm not missing any important details of the plot. Since it's kind of a complex story I'm afraid some people are forgetting some details each week. I'm really glad I only decided to watch it now!
I've seen many comments saying this show starts going downhill after a while. From which episode exactly? I'm now watching episode 11 and it's still going strong for me! 9.5 stars, 10 if it holds up until the end... one of the most interesting historical dramas I've watched so far. Can someone pls explain why you started losing interest in it??
update: episode 8 and I still love this show!! 9.5 stars so far
I'm on episode 9 and I absolutely love it haha I started writing on my phone's notes some of the positive things about this show that are making me love it this much and I have at least 15 points so far... and only one not-so-great point (that isn't even that bad, just me nitpicking). I don't know if it'll start going downhill from now on but I do tend to be someone who likes things other people don't (I really liked The bride of Habaek, for example, even if I recognised its flaws), so I might end up being one of the people who love everything about this show ^^'
I wasn't planning on watching this drama but today I felt a pull towards it and decided to give a chance. Oh boy... 2 episodes in and I am officially in love.
Did you feel sad after rewatching it ? I can't forget this drama this is definitely one of my favorites and I'm…
I was just as devastated as the first time HAHAHA but 100% worth it because this is one of those dramas that takes you to another world and the feeling of wonder lasts even after watching the last episode. You should rewatch it^^ don't be scared of pain, embrace it!!
To those who are thinking about watching it: JUST DO IT! NOW! It took me four years to watch this masterpiece and when I finally did in October 2020 my life was never the same. It became my absolute favorite drama of all time and I have already rewatched it since and my love and appreciation didn't change. I don't think any other drama will ever top this for me.
uhh so... this drama is very addictive and im enjoying it so far but the adult female lead has ONE expression and it's the big round eyes surprised/in pain face and it's ruining her character for me... the younger version made me root for her but the grown up actress is making me want to skip her scenes :')
pls pls pls recommend me your favorite dramas with him!! I'm watching Love Lasts Forever and I can already tell I am gonna be obsessed with this man for the rest of my life :') I only started watching Jdramas this year so I didn't know about his existence (*cries in a corner forever*)
Personally there are three reasons why I like her:........... 1) She is flawed so badly but I want her to be saved.…
I really enjoyed reading your comment and I understand your point of view! Also, I’m happy to see another Avenuex viewer here haha! As someone who is very interested in personality disorders (and mental illnesses in general) I simply can’t enjoy this female lead, even though I can see she’s on her redemption journey. Sometimes I click with certain characters that are surely flawed but that I simply grow an affection for. It’s not the case for this show but I still appreciate the attempt at trying something different from the norm. I also really love the aesthetic they went for and the way the story is complemented by Moon Young’s books. I guess I just can’t connect with the characters and their struggles, which is fine and doesn’t mean it’s a bad show. But I’m still a bit surprised almost no one agrees with me.
I'm so close to dropping this :') I truly don't understand how people can like the FL. To me, this is romanticisation of personality disorders at its finest. I'm only watching for the amazing Oh Jung Se! 6 episodes in and I hate the FL and dislike the ML lol
