POJ was one of my favorite dramas. I didn't read the novel, so I was really happy with the plot. Give it a go :) Its one of the dramas that becomes better and better by each episode.

But I can't shake of the feeling the FL is like brut force not thinking twice but acting on emotion , signing that contract without second thought, visiting prince Zhennan and expecting he will admit everything just because she is emotional and with tears in her eyes bring story of their brotherhood, and those orphan kids she takes care of are completely out of the rest of her character.

I feel like writers stripped her of her feminine power, intuition, and just gave her brute force and talent and tried to save it by giving her orphans to take care of. And no strategic thinking in her actions, she is surely not enough to be in top 3 generals of the army.

In comparison to other female generals of cdrama, she would die within 3 days in any situation.

But drama is still good. ML, 2nd ML, emperor, and princess are amazingly written characters, they make sense to be on high positions they behold, I could imagine them surviving dangerous palace, and battlefield scenarios.

But maybe that is my opinion, maybe others don't see FL as I do. I think her character is more suitable for some low positioned lakey running errands for his master to whom hi admires and who is reliable because of his high moral standards and high combat and archery skills. That's all, no upgrade from there. I feel no romance, or chemistry from her side at all. She is just total mess. I have to neglect healthy logic a lot when she is on screen, like you said, I just remind myself its just a cdrama.

ML is one of the best MLs written, at least until ep 15 is so. Even if he had no romantic interest until the end of the drama it would still be worth the watch for the way he is and the way he solves problems and tribulations. Makes you very engaged and forget you are watching cdrama.

ep 14, am I the only one who thinks FL is kinda not much smarter then her brut force brother. All her decisions are rushed and emotional. The only way she survived is because other are stupider.
ML is way to smart for entire surrounding, like he belongs in some other drama, some drama where FL is cunning, and she doesn't rely on brut force, rather on smart moves and strategy, like Wu Ying Jan in Love me Kill me.

Here ML is surrounded by complete idiots and he is just ahead of them 10 steps.

But back to episode 14 and FL - so she died because she betrayed her leader, and she rushed to kill an intelligence for their army against enemy army. Sure guy is a traitor, but to them he is intell, And she wants to kill him because she acts like super moral weapon of destruction who has right to kill as she feels moral. No military obedience, no bond towards identity of her own people and army. She has no problem brutally killing enemy army, but she does have problem there is a traitor on enemy side? Because that is immoral.

Or did I get something wrong, I hope I did get something wrong, otherwise she is no smarter then that brut brother of hers.

Also , no hate to the actress, we are talking about FL here and her character. Actress is good, it is character that i find... well stupid.

I think both lead actors are amazing and pretty. They would be pretty without excessive make up and photoshop. So yes, they would look more real. I agree with that point. But also, I believe there's a reason why industry does that, probably netizens wouldn't watch as much. Because we as humanity became so intolerant of real skin, starting with our own. We don't appreciate our own skin without make up and filters. Sad, but true.

I think for most Europeans infantile FLs are hard to get by. This is the only drama where its worth the watch. ML carries the whole show. But still binge worthy.

This one is one of the best, if you are fan of bad boys MLs, I think this one is no 1 in that trope.

Till the end of the moon - amazing binged it, but i liked LBFD more. The mouth bleeding was to excessive in TTEOTM, he was really pitiful. I felt way to sorry for him.

they all deserved it but ML. Poor ML, he has amazing patience :D and plus she has pig butcher strength in her arms, that must have been some heavy slaps.

Oh, I dropped all of those dramas. Blossom, and princess Gambit I just can't vibe with FL, she is technicaly correct, but just not reaching to me. its giving low budget vibes.
Tiger and Rose, although I love Zhao Lu Si, and I cried together with her in Love Like the Galaxy and Hidden Love, in this one was just so childish, I could not. for the same reason I dropped Imperial College thing with her. Just childish. Others maybe like it. Obviously, it has high rating
and Dream within a dream I also dropped.

Prisoner of Beauty was amazing. Loved the vibes of main couple. They were perfect together, and the plot was amazing. But in my opinion, no one tops the rain scene of Duke and A'Li, or when he comes to support her on her music competition, or when he intervenes in dispute between princess, ex husband and her at the court. Woow. Unparaleled
So, I'm still in my search for better romance scenes then The Double.

I think this is the drama with most slaps for male actors :)
Male lead gets slapped 5 times by FL. 2nd ML gets slapped 4 times by 2nd FL, and some other actors get slapped over 30 TIMES!
All together over 40 slaps, thats like one slap per episode. Lool.

Just comming back to say I watched all the recommendations and highest rated drama in search of something better then this. This one stil 10/10, unreachable to other dramas. The more I think about it the more I realise, the main couple is perfect pair. With the scenes that where given to them and script, they gave us craaazy chemistry. And we got so hooked to it.

Omg you should watch when they recreated rain scene in one variety show. Soooo hot. They definitely have chemistry. And they seem to get along so great. They are both super cute.

I think there are so many of us comming back with comments like this.
Btw, maybe they should make season 2 :)

Please recommend your 10/10 dramas? I would genuinely like to know, because I am trying to find something better then Double, and still nothing tops this :)
