In the drama he is an emperor. I don't think in modern day we can even fathom the power and character that comes with that title.

Actor is so hot though...

she's got the looks of one and witts, but she is not cruel or malevolent...

In episode 8, when emperor ML speaks to FL in private after the appointment ceremony, he comes so close, is it normal for two officials to talk from such a short distance. Or is it to show some dominance?

my favorite role of him was in Hidden Love, a kind of ML that I found interesting that wasn't in some combat, action, something super hyped up. Just normal, kind guy and somehow so amazing.

And then a s Feng Sui Ge, what a fierce general.

And now Emperor, probably the best emperor I've seen in dramas. So far Royal Betrothal looks like one of my top 5 dramas.

I think she is one of the most beautiful Chinese actresses, alongside Zhao Lu Si, Bai Lu, Lu Yu Xiao, Tian Xi Wei and many others.. She has elegance, cuteness.
And she can deliver really long sequences that would be hard even for professional politicians or public speakers to uphold, with authenticity and emotion.
So yeah :)

This person just wrote bad review for all dramas ever. Maybe consider giving up dramas altogether? Find some new hobby, since he is to above all this.

I trust actors choice of role more then rating or comments. I always watch 4 episodes, and then I decide if I like it.
This one I do enjoy a lot! Next to The Double, the only one so good that I consider rating it 10.
I wonder if its Wu Jinyan, I love her acting style. Or director, I like his way of catching emotions and giving us full range experience, or the idea that ML is just so dashing, hero, powerful, smart, but again kind and human.

So you write a review after 4 episodes expecting that ML actor always takes exact the same roles. No variations.

I like their relationship growth, from enemies, to pawns... and who knows, maybe we even get some romance ;)

I watched all of the mentioned drama. I really don't think this one is lacking in anything. Honestly. I think its bots downrating it, because its probably airing against some other drama that has a strong PR.

I watched all 6 released episodes.
Emperor is not flogged in any of these.
So far ML and FL have met, bickered, but founded mutual interest to collaborate, and have mutual enemies which binds them even more.
She has not reached the court yet, but i think thats their goal.

I think she is very quick minded and sharp, and she moves quickly. But no use of martial arts or weapons.

I loved both dramas, My favorite two in last 6 months. But still funny comments :D
