I loved ep 27...HT looked like a Godfather's Michael Corleone! I loved the conversation between HT and Zhu. They had humors, like when HT asked Zhu: you go up and down (meaning the bids), you think DongYang is a vegetable-market? Definitely a superb acting on XK's

Ah, it just dawned on me why...that's because YX's name is Star (in chinese)...so her last name is Ji, her first name is Xing which means star. So her friends call her Xing Xing (star star) in chinese when someone repeats the same word of a name like Xing Xing is an affectionately calling.

Yes, that happens to everyone because sometimes the MDL site is slow or that it returns some errors when submit a comment; but like Draco says, you can always delete the duplicate message(s) by clicking on the 3 dots and choose delete :)...also, next time when you feel like responding to 2 people at the same time, you can just call on them and then type the text...for example, @Draco, @bethcha: and then your text...that saves you some typing. Yes, I can read chinese coz I'm Cantonese 🙂. Yes, Seven has been quite a rating queen amazingly...I only watched (sort of) her FTY drama and then ABAY coz of Xu Kai of course. She's definitely a good actress. She's well liked in China. I don't live in China so I kind of guessing here coz of what I read from comments on the Chinese web site when i watch some of the dramas. Allen Ren was already kind of known in China coz he was like a badminton champion or something like that before he went into acting or so I read. I knew Song Wei Long b4 he collaborated with Seven towards the end of 2018. He was in a couple of kind of popular dramas one of which both Xukai and Bailu were there as amateurs actors..something lovers (i can't remember exactly its title). I just saw Xu Kai's scenes of course after i became a fan of Xu Kai because of the Story of Yanxi Palace, and so on youtube they had extracted just Xu Kai's scenes with Jia whatever (the FL of Dance of the Empire). I just couldn't see the entire drama of Song Wei Long. There was another one of his that I started but I also dropped after a few episodes...BTW, on that chart, whenever the viewership is in red, it means, it was good/hot. It's in the 100 millions unit. On the first page, it's Xu Kai, next is Joseph Zhen, I don't know the next guy, then, Neo Hou and then Leo Wu, followed by an actor that i don't know. On the 2nd page, it's Chen zhen yue (the hidden love ML), Zhang Ling He (he's doing very well coz of 3 major popular dramas he's done among others: got a drama with Bailu, Princess Royal, and the one with Ester Yu), Song Wei Long, then Wang Heidi (the Love & Fairy guy). 2 other actors that I don't know, followed by Lin Yi, and Deng Wei(LYF the yip 17 guy). So for each of the actors listed, there are several rows: those are their dramas. For the columns, each one shows its title, date the drama was shown, number of episodes, kuyun rating, yunhe rating, cvb rating, their douban ratings with number of people reviewed, downloads/viewership the drama had as of August12, 2024, the last column is about who dubbed the drama for the actor or that he did it himself. So, i guess, to show the success of someone, you would sum up the dowloads/viewerships in China's Tik-Tok column of all of the dramas of the actor that has had. One thing I noticed is that most of the actors have started in 2017 but Xu Kai started in 2019 (the story of Yanxi's total was not included). Now i didn't do the math...but since Xu Kai is headed first and with what MTSS said, I just assumed that Xu Kai's total must be the largest. This year, 2024, Xu Kai's 2 modern dramas did very well. Just a side note, since we've been in the ABAY page quite a bit discussing on Seven's accomplishments and what not, let me note that the only good drama that Song Wei Long did so far was in 2020 and got the crown of Hunan's TV ratings for that year; that one was the one he did with Seven🙂.
