Howeve3, someone in this forum posted that in the novel, it was like in ep 5 or so, when she got demoted to be a janitor of the rentals and he asked her to go into his apartment to change his light bulb

I agree with you. It was too sloppe sided. It should have had the money at the very least divided equally among the 2 grandchildren. Her son is still in prison and alive.

@bluecandy: thank you for the indexes. It looks like this drama is doing very well in China. A couple of observations: #1 I think Xu Kai for the first time ever since hes been a lead in a drama, that his character heat index trails his counterpart FL's. #2 Considering the soooo little screen time for Xu Kai's character in this drama, yet he only trailed 7% from the FL's character... that's a very good result for Xu Kai. Normally, Xu Kai's character has been like > 20% or more than his FL's character. Also, Xu Kai's character given so little screen time, he managed to be the #4 of the top of all dramas at the moment, just behind ZYL from the Legend of Shenli, I think Xu Kai did a very job so far! Anyways, congratulations to everybody who made BCE such a hood drama!

Be patient, the ML's scenes should increase in the next few episodes because there will be a turn...the ML will be like adopted by the FL's family so they should be spending much time together.

It doesn't matter whether to use the actor's name or not. We know what you mean, many times, I myself don't remember the character name, but just the actor's name, and since we're in the drama's forum, it's well understood that it's about the drama and especially when you have referred to the scene in an episode. So, @nanoush, no need to feel bad, just express your opinion as you see it fit.

@bubblylynnn: Zhang Pei Sheng is one of the executives at the hotel. Dennis is above her, she wants Zhi Ming to help her to take Dennis out so she can occupy Dennis's position. I think Dennis is taking advantage of the hotel, buying stuff from Xin Jia-Liang's father's company: cheap materials from paper up to whatever type of material and yet reporting as high expenses. So, that is why YZM used MCH to put a trap whose bottom intention is to expose Dennis but had to put MCH in a very bad situation. Nobody outside of the top executives know that grandma is the owner of the hotel this includes the FL and her family. But grandma hasn't fired Dennis yet as of ep 14. Zhang Pei Sheng is getting very impatient.

@whoissilmoy: I think eventually, MCH will make him think differently, that family is very important no matter what. I bet you towards the end, he'll get back with his father peacefully per say :D

Yep, it's a cultural thing, so I understand it very well the setup of this drama and its theme...Slowly, things are starting to change...but I think in villages of China, that could be a very hard thing to modify.
