I find this drama quite entertaining and a good watch. I guess you're part of the asian culture so you'd understand how some moms behave as the FL's mom. If you watch it with an understanding of such and take it as a drama or trying to understand and improve your relationship with your own mom, then, it should be a good watch for you. To me any drama i watch is an entertainment and so if there's any situation or characters i don't like, i can always ff...but i haven't had too many of those and none in this drama :)...on the contrary, i have rewound many times for scenes i found good...

I feel sometimes screen time might not be that important to increase popularity in China but rather the role and how an actor performed in that role. Look at all 3 the so called ML of Lost you Forever. All of them had not much screen times and yet, they got boosted by seceral millions more fans after they performed. XuKai also benefitted from the story of Yanxi in which he was also appeared as ML but in reality, he didn't have much screen time either, especially in the 2nd half way of the story...Of course i am a fan of Xu Kai and would have loved to see him in a lot more of screen time than what we've seen him on this drama...but this is all to develop/grow him in China, which he has not seemed to be able to do (my guess, as I'm an international fan of his). Also, the demands in China might be harder or its audience is used to some type of act which Xu Kai still needs to develop. Tencent I'm sure it wants to leverage his international fans's popularity perphaps. If you look at the teases, most of them, some 60% of those have Xu Kai on them even though his screen times in those were very little.

There's nothing wrong with his role in this drama. An actor can take on anything whether its a support role or not. We all need to be humble and embrace good opportunities. If this one brings him good results, why not?

Xu Kai was born on the year of the pig, hence the reference to him as a pig for some other dramas as well; the directors/writers just mapped it to his real born year, that's all.

@blueman: yes, you're missing something. You're forwarding too much :D. No, the ML will not try to get the hotel back. He respect and accepted his grandma's wish to leave the FL tge hotel. So, from there on, he will help the FL to get the hotel out of trouble. He said Shanghai has lots of other hotels that can be targeted instead.

Best Choice Ever is the title of the drama. It is not however a direct translation of the drama name in Chinese. I thought in Chinese, the meaning is like the diary of Cheng Huan or dairy of Filial maybe.
