BTW, I'm also curious how some of the other actors like Cheng Yi, Wang Di, Johnny Huang every year were/are invited to the Rome or somewhere in Europe for modeling, but none of them invited Xu Kai...I always thought Xu Kai looks so much better than any of them :) I used to be a fan of Johnny Huang too :) Well, definitely Xu Kai has to be better than Cheng Yi and Johnny Huang as he's was a model before...

Surprisingly, City of the City took the #1 spot from BCE last week on Vlinkage, it could have been because City of the City had more discussions among the viewers because the index was at 30,540 or something like that on April 26.

I don't know why the people in China making so much fuzz on the prrson's accent whether its a Taiwaness accent or a China's accent..I bet those same people they can't talk perfectly in all the languages they claim they can talk

I love how Xu Kai walks...it shows elegance...it's definitely a model walks!

I'm re-watching this drama and looking for where Xu Kai is. The drama is really good, it has funny scenes and touching ones as well. This drama definitely deserves more than a 7.9. It doesn't allow me to review by each episode. It's sitting at 7.93...it just needs to be bumped to 7.95 to be taken at least 8.0 when they round it I would suppose.

Everything is cool. Definitely his performance has improved...if however you went to the other chinese sites and you turn on the comments from the audience, you'll see that there are some people that complains about his performance...try iyf.tv and you'll see it in Chinese. I thought some of them are haters of Xu kai. I found Xu Kai's performance is at least in-par with Lui Xie Yi the ML in Bloosooms, or maybe even a bit better on Xu Kai's part when they did ALP together. Yet people keeps complaining about Xu Kai's performance..about the only thing i don't like of Xu Kai is his tight facial expression or his too intense look in certain situations which contrasts to the others more veteran Chinese actors (example: Zhang Wan Yi, Tan Jian Ci) when acting in some similar situations. So that's why i am saying. Of course like you said, its subjective but his perception on the Chinese audiences seem not to say so...

Yep, yet Leo Wu to me is not an actor like you would expect from someone who started at 6 years old :D, like i said his face expression is way too tight. I would give him more or less the same grade for Xu Kai's acting...At least on the dramas I've watched him on. Like a couple of years ago or so, Leo Wu went to his acting school as well...The ML of the drama with Liu ShiShi, the singer, forgot his name. Also took acting classes from a professor after his drama with Leo Wu, and his acting skills definitely improved

@whoissilmoy: does it mean that Xu Kai will get enrolled in an acting class to improve? If so, thats wonderful! I did see his performance improved however, getting a different perspective from an acting class will align him to the Chinese audiences more!

Where did you find the statistics about China's having the highest suicidal rates? I don't believe that. Actually, China is the best place the elder can live in as it offers communities where elder people can live together at a low cost unlike the US.

So, it means that it was indeed a low cost production: A, but the result was like a S+ production! My hats off to Yang Zi, she's truly an amazing actress, she indeed did an excellent job. Family theme dramas are very popular in China...they are usually shown on tv channels...look at the other family themes like 'All is Well' is the one I remembered that it did exceptionally well several years ago that i liked too and another one i cant remembered now what's called with one of the costar of Lost you forever (the brother/cousin of FL)

I rewinded so many times on ep 34 to see the 32 years old into 40....that clip was so funny and i loved it when YZM said, you might as well say I'm 50 and MCH tried to kick YZM, that was too funny!

It has ended, Xu Kai was very handsome in this drama with a few exceptional moments and they were when he had his weird mustache on 😂 😂. That mustache looked like it was drawn on him. I too was very disappointed about letting Xu Kai or lack thereof of his screen times in the last 3 episodes, even though he was in the clips, but no close ups on him, just a second or 2 of his close ups. And Xu Kai was sooo handsome especially in the last few episodes. I dont think the directors liked him too much, i hope I'm wrong. All close ups were on MCH and her mom...even the dad and the brother had more close ups than Xu Kai.
