i’m gonna be a part of the minority who actually likes the endgame. their relationship development was pretty…
I actually started season 2 knowing who she ended up with and I was so excited bcs I was team Hye Young from day 1. Their scenes together were actually one of the few things tht I truly enjoyed but the overall plot execution was really bad, imo.
I spoiled myself the end, and i’m really satisfied by the ending. Should I start it or is it really slow ?
I wanted her to end up with Hye Young from day 1. Some of their scenes are really cute but the biggest flaw lies on the plot, characters and pacing. It's already slow to begin ( with the excessive slow-mo) , but the extremely bland and underdeveloped characters' motivation made it feels painfully slow. I say maybe you can try one episode first and see if its worth continuing.
But if you want a brutally honest answer from me, I'd say dont watch it .lmaoo
I actually liked the endgame but seriously, the story and characters were just underwhelming. For a 6 episode-series, it was so painfully slow and dull. The excessive slow-mo didnt help either. The actings also weren't really doing it for me. This ain't it.
idk why i find it funny reading your comments in chronological order. It started from asking about the movie the drama is based on to falling to Lee Do Hyun and wanting to check out more of his dramas. Thats exactly my story too lmaoo
In what aspect this show is different from the movie? Is it worth watching if I have already watched the movie?
because this one is a series, it has the room to flesh out the characters and plot. The movie was fun and had comedic tone to it while this one feels more heartwarming and relatable ( with tears sprinkled all over lmao )
There were some scenes and dialogue that were similar to the original movie with korean/asian's flair added to them but overall, it's definitely worth watching, even for someone who enjoyed the movie, imo. I think first episode shared the most similarity to the movie but after that the drama follows its own route.
It's not without flaws and holes obviously, bcs I do think due to its nature of being a series , there we expected unnecessary filler scenes , subplots and slow-mo altho it didnt bother me tht much.
Hwang Jung Eum was fantastic in this. In fact I feel she was the reason I love this drama so much. But it has…
tbh I didnt buy the villain's supposed character redemption arc as well. They could've resolved it in many ways that were more believable and satisfying but instead opted for lazy resolution. I hated it then ( I watched it live when it was airing) and still hate it now. Every time I rewatch it , I will skip those related scenes.
Tried until 2nd episode and dropped it. It wasnt tht the plot is bad, it was actually interesting but the main characters were very unlikeable ( i know thats how they were meant to be written as). I really struggle to watch drama with main characters that i wouldn't be able to root for. It's grating and wearying .
soooo exited for this. I've been waiting for some kickass historical drama with engaging political conflicts for so long now. On top of that , Kim So Hyun leading the pack??? Yessssssss hope this one delivers
