This has to be one of the highest-quality productions Iāve seen in a C-drama. I canāt think of another drama with production this good.
The fact that the episodes are shorter than usual and they didnāt go for 40 episodes tells me the high-quality CGI, costumes, and sets came with a hefty price tag. Excluding cast pay, I wonder what the budget for this drama was, it must be an insane number. Iām really curious to know.
omg I just realized that I read the manhua, this just got a hundred times better. side note, amazing cgi and production so far. loving it. I have really high hopes for this omg
What's the big deal about 10 years difference. If it was the other way around nobody would think twice. Besides…
I donāt care about their ages in the story. Men or women Iām uneasy about the real-life age gaps, 19- and 29-year-olds is gross to me. And honestly you are in no place to invalidate anyoneās feelings towards an age gap. I personally am uncomfortable with on screen intimacy between these two ages and you are in no place to argue against what makes someone feel uncomfortable.
everything is just a little off....the wrting, the way its shot, the way its edited, even the genre is just off. I cant explain it, I dont know what the f Im watching. DYX is doing a great job, he looks good with a fuller face edit: oof I shouldnt have checked the age gap now im uncomfortable
Please don't generalize and speak as if this is what all Jdramas are like. This is a very genre specific niche…
I fail to see how the points youāre bringing up are relevant to my argument. You say these female characters are written this way because itās the model of the genre, but thatās exactly my problem with shoujo. Conforming to a regressive genre doesnāt make it right.
Especially when there are many modern shoujos that showcase a wider representation of female strength, agency, and complexity. This outdated FL archetype needs to be put to rest.
You mention these dramas are āwritten for younger girls,ā but do you really excuse the potential damage caused by portraying mindless, brainless women? Young girls consume this content and, in many ways, internalize these roles.
Itās not unreasonable for viewers to expect more diverse, empowered, and multi-dimensional female characters. Explaining away this trend as genre-specific is nonsense. Letās hope for more innovation rather than settling for excuses. Shoujo doesnāt have to be this, no women act like that. If men in shoujo can act normal, so can women.
This drama is a facepalm's facepalm... like on another level of stupidity. Braincells off to watch this. Im at…
so sorry youre going through this. please don't torture yourself further with this abomination. I didn't know cdramas could inflict so much damage to the brain, get well soon!
