the preview for episode 20-21 is absolutely insane. I can already tell this is a drama I will stay attached to for a while after it ends. its just too good
Japan has a problem. How much longer do we have to endure these pitiful female leads? It’s like watching the same broken record of wide-eyed, brain-dead helpless girls with zero agency, just waiting for a man to give them purpose.
It’s one thing to write a doormat for a FL, but it’s another to cast an exhausting actress. What’s with the traumatized look? She literally looks like she’s one step from shitting herself at every event. No brain cells, no thoughts behind those eyes, just weakness and regressive behavior. I’m sorry, I mean, she’s so weak, cute, and delicate but hardworking, uwu. Seriously, enough with this nonsense.
I’ve seen some comments about this drama being slow, and I just want to say to anyone who hasn’t watched it yet: please, ignore those comments. The pacing is intentional and not a flaw. The issue here isn’t the drama; it’s that some people have a preference for faster-paced shows. So, let me repeat: the pacing is not a flaw, it’s just a perception issue from people who can’t appreciate a slow burn.
Now, can we talk about what counts as valid media criticism? There’s a difference between critiquing writing, acting, or direction with substance and just whining because something doesn’t match your personal taste. If you don’t like slow-burn romances, why are you here? It’s like going to a sushi restaurant and complaining they don’t serve spaghetti. Everyone has their preferences, but there’s something truly miserable about raining on other people’s parade just because the drama isn’t fast enough, too romantic, or whatever else you feel like griping about.
This drama is very good so far, it delivers exactly what it promises. In other words, I went out to get sushi, and sushi is exactly what I got and I’m not complaining because I’m exactly where I should be. If you don’t like the menu, find the door, spaghettis are down the street.
the premise doesn't make sense to me, why would people ever choose to live in that place? Besides the fact that the logistics are unrealistic (the gene pole is nonexistent everyone in that village should theoretically have four eyes and a tail ) , why would anyone choose to live in a village where class still exists? you can get gender equality and running water in the town over and you choose not to? I'm not convinced. I'm just at ep1 they better have answers to all my questions or i'll flag the writing as lazy.
