I get that, BOF is really toxic and isn't aging well. Most of us are only watching the adaptations out of nostalgia but if I remember, I was actually pleasantly surprised by how they treated the themes of social class and poverty in the thai version. They tied some of it to thai social issues towards the end which was educational to me. I don't remember how they portrayed bullying in it but FL was my favourite out of all the BOF female leads out there.

I actually didn't watch their adaptation of playful kiss so I'm off to watch that! Thanks for the accidental recommendation 😂

I like how quick paced it is, I feel like theyre purposely going through the base storyline quickly and condensing it so they can move onto their own adaptation of the story. if it is as I suspect, itmakes sense bcs everyone has already read and watched the og material and it would be redundant to have to watch it all over again

Its not a bad drama....if you know what genre you're watching!

I understand how this can be perceived as bad or odd for people who are not familiar with this genre or the history/culture behind it, but this is a wuxia and doesn't claim to be anything else. The storyline, clothes and setting are very mich intentional, so why rate it at the standard of historical dramas, when it is intentionally 'different'. Again, this is a wuxia, rate it a such.

So far its no different from any othe wuxia in the 8 tier.
