This drama is worlds apart from the one that just aired, which I won’t name. First of all, I’m actually hooked and thirsty for more after every episode. The artistic direction is so interesting; a bit unsettling and a little creepy, it pairs well with the soundtracks. The acting is very good; I’m pleasantly surprised by the male lead. The filming is intriguing, and the fight scenes are top-notch. I’m thoroughly enjoying this, was definitely not expecting it to be this good.
So, diving into this cdrama, I’m usually all in for historicals, especially with leads like Bailu and Ling He. But, gotta be honest, the writing here felt all over the place. I found it to be scattered. While the lead and side characters were intriguing, the chore storyline felt weak, lacking the compelling pull that top-rated dramas usually evoke. It also didn't immerse me as expected. Imo there are better historical cdramas out there. 8.8 is a reach
Random question but I've seen Sheng sheng eat what she calls "cereal" twice already and it looks like she puts…
Probably millet porridge or warm muesli, or maybe it’s really just warm cereal. One time, my mom brought cereals to the homeland for my cousins to try, and to my shock, they actually warmed up the milk before eating it because the concept of cold milk is apparently really disgusting to them.
It's alarming to see the lack of concern for normalized self-harm for the sake of “dedication”. In what world is risking your well-being for viewer satisfaction and producer appeasement noble and acceptable? This is dystopian. Would we endorse such unnecessary sacrifices for pure entertainment in any other profession? Our insatiable hunger and demand for constant stimulation and perfection has created a beast within us, perpetually yearning for more, more, and more. Wake up, this is social degeneracy, not art.
holy shit this girl has some of the worst personality issues i've ever seen in a fl. this is baaad, they better give her a serious character growth arc
fighting/war cdramas are not my favourite genre, is there any other theme that could interest viewers like me? I'm still on episode 2 and still deciding if I should drop it
I love this drama, but some parts seriously confuse me. For one, when we first see her in the beginning interacting…
I watched this drama while ago so I can’t say for sure, from the sounds of it this seems like a typical censorship ending. From experience when watching this genre of cdramas I usually never take the endings too seriously, especially when they seem rushed or too vague. Usually those ending are there just to pass the censorship screening, since transmigration dramas are pretty much illegal. Its known in the cdrama community to not take them too seriously or ignore the ending completely. By the way if you liked this drama I recommend you check out Romance on the Farm (2023)! I finished it a few weeks ago and I loved it.
