I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, the actress who plays the lead role looks the same in every single…
at this point it just really shows her lack of commitment to the art. I want to see her replaced by actresses who care and are passionate enough that they're ready to show their unedited self. but nothing will never change because she's a traffic celebrity, her image comes first. its a china issue first a jjy issue second, the beauty standards are just insane.
i actually searching her other drama after watch BOR . Yeah indeed her make up look the same in every drama .…
yes! I watched ALL the costume dramas she's in and i'm genuinely unable to remember them or tell them apart anymore. I'm really not being critical because I hate her or anything. If she wants to be recognized as an actress she seriously needs to take a more creative leap and and let go of the filters and makeup. Viewers are not stupid, they notice when an actor is not committed to the art.
it's not xianxia and only some xianxia have good cgi. This year only one had good cgi.
idk who's behind this production but lately youku and iqyi have been stepping up with their releases. back from the brink, till the end of the moon, ms. cupid in love were well rounded solid releases from youku. iqyi released love between devil and fairy which was amazingly done. this drama might have been on the shelves for too long so it looks dated. either that or, the cgi studio who won the bid is no good and charged very cheap.
again you claim to acknowledge different tastes, yet you seem unable to accept my opinion that differs from yours. you say you’re not silencing me yet you’re adamant that my comment and viewership has no place in “her” dramas. You’re contradicting yourself over and over again and showing a massive double standard.
You mentioned that millions of viewers pay to watch her, but isn't it the same for me? I also pay my hard-earned money to support the industry and expect to see a range of talents and diverse performances. Just because someone has a following doesn't mean they are exempt from criticism or the possibility of improvement.
I'm not trying to invalidate your enjoyment of her work or the dramas you like. However, we can foster a space where diverse opinions can be shared.
interesting how you acknowledge how we are all people with different taste yet you can’t accept my opinion that is the opposite of yours. listen to yourself and stop being a hypocrite. I have the right to give my 2 cents and so do you. leave this be it’s not that deep.

ok if you want to be specific I meant chinese historical fantasy dramas, and yes there were more than one very good productions so far this year. I can give you a list but mostly all releases from youku were solid and above average.
my favourite genre are xianxias, so I will watch xianxias. its not "her stuff", it's a full production with other actors. it doesn't make it her work because she's a lead.
actually yeah, I'm forced to express my frustration when every month I pay my viki, wetv, youku and iqyi subscriptions and do my share to support the industry. So excuse me if that offends you but I think I have a minimum of right to give an opinion when every year they find a way to recycle the same character for a one dimensional actress who refuses to expand, grow and show her ugly side.
i'm genuinely starting to get tired of seeing ju jing yi in a cast, it has come to a point where i'm unable to distinguish her dramas apart because she looks the same in.every.single.xianxia. It the same role, same character, same makeup, same hair, same acting. recycled over and over again. what's the point honestly? bring an actual actress next time
this is the kind of drama you watch with your girls because the amount of screaming and fangirling I did needs to be done as a group, the confession on episode 15???? illegal. he's so flirty byeeee
