when hao jia showed up to the banquet I nearly started crying with li wei. she's such a good friend ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ she's the one who's safety is the most at stake but she still came; I really hope she'll have her HEA. I need a hao jia in my life !!!
You're right! I wonder why they always dubbed him. His real voice sounds nice.
it seriously sounds really nice! they dub them because of many many reasons. Its a unique dilemma that is specific to the chinese language, The different dialects and accents in china make it that its hard the get a full cast speaking the same way because china is such a big diverse country. Some actors have weak voices, don't articulate correctly, don't speak correctly etc. Its not only about saving money, hiring voice actors makes it that the vocal delivery is clear, seamless and overall less headaches when filming.
For example I believe XK was dubbed for a long time because he's cantonese so he has some difficulties with pronunciation
Internationally Modern Cdramas are popular compared to Historical dramas Like YAMG, Love020, FIYS, PYSOMH If you…
hum I dont know about this, the historical genre has a fanbase of its own, watchers are on the lookaout for any new drama in that category, so they're always coming back. The top rated cdramas on mdl are all mostly costume dramas. I find that modern cdramas do well whenever its an adaptation, has an element of fantasy or game in it or has a famous actor playing in it, so not every modern cdrama gathers high viewership. its hard out there
finally something to EAT for the historical romcom girlies who don't like to use their brain cells. I was STARVING. the low quality short dramas are killing this genre, we're facing a plague. I need more of these high production, simple plot focused on romance and good cast dramas. more more more
I didn't have a hard time following the story because I read the manga a long long time ago so I had an idea where it was going, this doesn't change from the fact that this: sucked ass.
Don't remember if I even liked the manga to begin with, but oh by...this..this stinks.
People are really writing essays on this when really, this drama doesn't even require two working brain cells to understand the message. Because in actuality there's nothing powerful or inspirational about it. On the contrary, the narrative is soooo vapid, toxic and frankly very immature. This has as much depth as a an angsty wattpad book written by a 14 yr old. Also, all characters are deeply unpleasant. And don't get me started on the cinematography, nothing impressive just cringy superficial shots with no intention behind them.
If this is art to you, I beg you to widen your horizon.
They're not actually related, though, so not incest. Is it weird? Yes, absolutely. But it's not that weird.
its incest and perpetuates the idea that blended families are not real families, that adoptees and step siblings can not develop real family bonds and let's also not forget how this trope is a fetish on the hub. it's problematic and I will keep calling it incest so that it is not normalized any further.

this will not be the cup of tea of people who like straightforward traditional stories.
