Hi. Is this drama heavy with conflicts or light hearted and easy to watch?
there wouldn't be any plot to the story if there wasnt any conflict but don't worry its not the kind that gives you headaches, like court and political dramas. yes its very easy to watch even for non wuxia watchers
mhhh right of the bat i'm not sure about the fl ambitions and positive outlook on work, devoting yourself to a corporation is not a good, noble, nor inspiring thing. But so far its interesting and some themes are refreshing and important but I still feel like I will disagree and get frustrated with a lot of the messaging. we'll see...
edit: i'm hooked, fl has some admirable traits, the writers did not hold back showing all the hardships of women in the workplace 9/10
ok but can we talk about the actress who played fengling? she nailed that annoying whiny face and her micro expressions made my blood boil. she's good very good. Jiutian as well great performance, he has range
That scene between WS and TL was a waste of their time. I thought he was going to say that he kept her alive to…
if the rumours are true and we're indeed missing 12 episodes I think that shifu and yunqi actually survived that scene. that would explain why we never see a rock fall on them. meaning that a battle between them is possible
another ending victim of censorship. I personally won't take that scene in consideration when rating bcs I'm sure the director hated it as well. I'm genuinely sad the rating dropped bcs of it...
I really hate that scene where WS meets shifu to "say goodbye" it bothers me so much bcs shifu is a monster, the only interaction left between them is a battle to death. he doesn't deserve this kind of respect after everything that happened, a knife to the gut is what he deserves.
this geezer really said: "how are you going to repay me for raising you" mf you killed her family?????
now that the drama is ending we can see the deeper themes; human greed, indoctrination and power structures. Notice how the powerful government leaders (furen and commander) never payed for their wrong-doings? only their minions. In fact, every character working under someone sacrificed something. No wonder Jiutian kept saying that he was just a dog. Conclusion, everyone is just a dog, a dog to money, to a senior, to a commander, to a leader, to a government, to made up rules, to dead traditions, to a culture, to your family. This drama is about dogs. everyone is used.
wow fengling...I have never hated a villain as much as I've hated this girl. Her greed, selfishness and self pity just makes her an unparalleled villain. she's really a real monster. I want her dead. If the yu family dies she also deserves to die.
I see a lot of people mad about the rating, truth is when this drama started airing it was 8.8 then 8.2 towards the end. I guess some people did not like the end
