Lol now you’re sucked in to the weekly agony.
yeah I didn't check how many eps were out when I started and was so sad when I got to 10 :')

I think this SML is more invovle in the story bcoz his dad is a villain. I think this is better than SWDBS, I…
Yeah that's true he's definitely more involved! He just really reminded me of him. To be honest I was obsessed with SWDBS when I first watched it but that was also years ago when I first got into kdrama, if I'd watched it now I don't think I'd enjoy it as much anymore. But Showtime is shaping up to be one of my top favorites for sure <3
On From Now On, Showtime! May 27, 2022
Holy hell this show is GOOD. I binged this within like 2 days and now I'm completely hooked 😳 Such a perfect mix of different genres and it doesn't feel jarring! Those kinds of dramas are always my favorite, I really should've started this one sooner. I love the mystery, the ghosts, the comedy is super on point (the PPT scene had me dying omg) and the lead's chemistry is sooo good. I loved the scene when they did that magic show tgt 😭😭😭❤️

ML is aloof and suave on the outside but actually quite pathetic haha (my fav kinds of ML) and FL is such a girl crush while also super cute. Also does anyone else think SML is basically a copycat of Gukdoo from SWDBS? Childhood friend cop who suddenly starts liking the FL out of nowhere when the ML appears lmao

How is this drama so under the radar??! More people should be watching this.

Omg let's go!!! I was waiting for his lead role to be announced. The synopsis sounds quite wacky but interesting, but I'm really excited for it. Really hoping we'll hear him sing because he's got such a beautiful voice. If you haven't heard him yet, go watch his performance on I Can See Your Voice!

Everyone’s complaining for lack of sport scenes in this show, but I actually like it this way tho? It focused…
Thank you. I think people are looking for the wrong things in this drama. Sure the badminton setting is there, but it's rather a backdrop for the characters' stories. It's kind of annoying how people are complaining about the drama getting too melodramatic now when Taeyang's issue with her feelings of guilt and her hurtful past were hinted at quite early on, and you can clearly tell from the get go the characters are dealing with a lot of problems even if Junyoung's appearance came later. It's not like it came out of the blue, and it's not surprising that the drama deals more with the characters' interpersonal issues and emotional baggage, which I actually really enjoy. I love the atmosphere and vibe, even if it's very angsty at times, or painful to watch. There's more focus on the hardships of being an athlete, some coming back from long breaks, some finally getting their chance to shine while others never did, and how condemnation and peer pressure are part of it as well oftentimes. This isn't a drama about youth chasing far-away dreams but a drama about adults well into their sports career, all situated in very different parts of it and dealing with the hurdles that come with it. People are most likely disappointed that the sports aspect here is not as "inspirational", but this drama is more on the realistic side as it focuses on portraying the less desirable and less shiny, grandiose sides of it (because let's be real, athletic careers are very romanticized/sensationalized in media) and I think it does it really well and quite beautifully. It's understandable if that's not as interesting to you than, say, a high-stakes underdog story, but that just means the drama is probably just not for you.
Also definifely agree with your point on how it's comforting through the leads' relationship!

If people want a lighthearted slice of life with lots of sports, they should really just go watch Racket Boys instead of complaining about it here tbh, because it's clearly not what Love All Play is /supposed/ to be.

no it wont but its totally different vibe tho......
I know, i'm not expecting it to be the same. I'm just really excited magic as a theme is being implemented more in dramas now, since it's something I've always loved seeing since I was a child. Plus, I just really like characters who are magicians lol

Since i have a viki pass now i might as well get this off my to be watched and to the "completed" list, tho i…
I actually just started it too since it was staring at me from my Viki homepage the whole time and it's been on my list forever as well. It's holding up what it promises so far, super binge-able and very cliché in a fun way in the same vein as Business Proposal! And the romantic scenes are twice as swoonworthy tbh 👀 Park Min Young could act next to a tree and have chemistry with it lmao

Now that I've started it I can see why so many people compared the ML here to the one from BP and they're actually really similar xD I'm at like ep 5/6 and the pace has been good so far but I'm anticipating the same as you. But maybe it'll surprise us!

i binge-watched this drama up to episode 8, but i think i'll hold off for now. i want to be able to move quickly…
i respect that so much. wish i could do the same but i'm already in the middle of these eps haha :')

How is this drama in terms of romance/in general? I'm constantly seeing bits of of the cinematography and it looks gorgeous i'm tempted to watch! But I might not if it has too much angst or political stuff since that's not really my thing. I also don't usually watch sageuks so would it be harder to get into?
On Love All Play May 20, 2022
At this point.. I don't care about anything else, I just want Park twins to be happy :( They have to go through so much caused by the people around them, they're each others' only pillar. It doesn't look like they will break up (I don't even think TY finding out TJ is JY's sister will make that happen) but they'll definitely still have to go through a lot. Ugh. I feel for them so much and just wanna skip all the angst and have them be happy and carefree

Junyoung still had a choice to lie or not. Nobody forced her to do anything. How can she simply blame someone's…
++ completely agree with this. Even if the "thank you" was a burden to her, it's in no way a justification for lying.

who was the woman at the store, Tae Yang gave money to the daughter? do we know her and I've forgotten?
It's her biological mother. When she told Taejun about her, she said she's only met her 2 times, being when she won her gold medal and when she left after the accident, then saying it should be 3 times now, because that's when she gave the money to her daughter.

The actress playing junyoung had a similar role in 'Do you like Brahms' as well.....I really want her to play…
ikr she's getting herself typecasted.. I heard she had a similar role in Yumi's Cells too and on top of that she'll be a 2nd FL in Song Joong Ki's new drama too 😭

I just finished Ep 9. There are some serious flaws.. 1) why was the fact that TY caused the accident hidden? I…
They hid the accident because JY said she got hurt by herself while training/hiking. So while TY should've said something in that moment it was Junyoung too who wanted to not say anything, presumably to protect Taeyang from getting the repercussions (which she highly likely regrets by now) and because they thought the injury wouldn't be as bad. Because in a flashback with TY, JY and JH in the hospital, JY told them she could get rehab, so hiding the accident isn't a big deal. But the rehab eventually ended up failing causing JH to force TY to leave in the process.
