Again, you don't put things into context. XY started studiyng medicine way earlier, but I don't recall yellow emperor making this statement before, thus the reason for his remark wasn't her sharing a common interest with her mom, but the excuse of studying medicine with the purpose of delaying their marriages. Of course we can't compare the 2 stories în terms of choices, since în once promised they all chose both love and duty and ended up tragic, but at heart I can compare XY to Ah Heng, as yellow emperor did IMO. They both loved the same type of man, hence Ah Heng's confusion when XY introduced Jing to her and her question to XY of why him.
Xiaoyao absolutely loved both Jing and Xiang Liu, but in very different ways. Xiang Liu was the one she couldn’t…
XY's excuse for delaying the marriage was because she wanted to finish her medical studies first. When she let yellow emperor know about this, his answer was "You're exactly like your mom". Ah Heng took an interest în studying medicine precisely to gain the right to say no to her dad regarding her marriage to shaoshao, which she didn't want to marry because the one she loved was Chi chen.
About "the writer wrote it with the purpose of developing a strong bond between the CP" I honestly really don't know what's been said about Jing's and XY's relationship during those 43 years, beside a line of how time flied în an instant. Jing met Ah Heng before his proposal. The main focus during that chapter, which Tong Hua took time to describe în great details was XY chasing after an unknown man on the streets and her statement of recognizing XL regardless of the face he îs wearing.
It's obvious you already made up a story of your own în your head and if you're happy with it than good for you, I really don't want to ruin this story for anyone, but again, as far as I am concerned, you're missing the whole point of it. You're not seeing the forest for the trees.

After she's back with Jing, she delayed their marriage for 43 years, on contrast to Jing, who wanted to get married asap. After she îs back with Jing, she kept chasing XL with every chance she got. After she finally marries Jing, they didn't even share their wedding night togheter, because she was to drunk to perform and let me tell you that's totally out of norm for this author. There's not a single novel of hers that I've read where the leads don't get intimate. Luckily I am not a Jing fan, otherwise I'd be quite pissed at XY, like really.
At best she ended up with the one she thought loved her most, the one who will never abandon her, as she told her mom, but not with the one she truly loved. That's the main point of this story, romantic love isn't everything în life and there are other things as important too. For CX was the throne, for XL was his army and for XY was a peaceful life with a companion next to her. To believe the ending is a generic one, where the FL finally gets reunited with her love interest after countless trials is missing the whole point of the story. The novel itself it's called lost you forever / eternal longing, like really.
Xiaoyao only truly loved Tushan Jing. She had a complicated bond with Xiang Liu (mutual unspoken feelings), cared…
If XY loved Jing, than why when her mom asked her "why Jing" instead of saying "because I truly love him" as you seem to believe, her answer was "because only him will never abandon me" ? Her answer is pretty straightforward IMO. They deleted this scene from the drama though and everyone is entitled to their own interpretation, but I personally definetely disagree with your take.
i dont understand it might seems the FL is havinh affairs to all Leads i dont understand who he will end up wih
She ends up with Jing, because he was the only one who was able to gave up everything în order to be the forever companion XY's wanted. Altough she cares about him, the one she truly loved romantically was XL, IMO. The lovers bugs aren't added to the story just as a plot device, the name itself says a great deal and it's obvious that the author didn't pick it at random.
It's hard to produce Chinese dramas with really red flag main male lead nowadays because regular long Chinese…
I am not really into short dramas, but someone else mentioned love and bid farewell, so I gave it a go. Not sure about the FL, but the ML is doing a pretty good job. In fact I am surprised that he doesn't play in long dramas too, I find him quite talented. Doesn't lack the looks either. The novel, I read it already, but what can I say, not really a masterpiece, but I did enjoy some aspects. Could have been much more though, the dark gothic tone, the insanity, the obsesive co-dependency kinda reminded me of wuthering heights in some way. Anyway, I don't really get how trends work în China, obviously they have lots of dark novels, so definetely there's a market for them too, yet they would rather see the light version on screen. Guess readers and drama watchers are 2 different targets.
Have you watched "Goodbye My Princess"? I think ML will not disappoint you;)
Yes, goodbye my princess îs a very good recommendation for a red flag, problem is dramas who aren't afraid to cross the line are very very rare. I can't think of any actually beside gmp. A lot of people say the ML from TTEOTM îs the ultimate red flag, but I personally fail to see it.
Something is missing to me with this drama, it's good, but not memorable or addictive. Too generic I guess. I am still waiting to see a drama who isn't afraid to have a red flag as a ML/FL. I didn't sign up for a cute couple, I expected something else.
the scene of him carrying her supposedly dead body, this happen after or before they getting their revenge? also,…
As others have said, no revenge plot in the novel. However, him carrying her body happened at the end of the novel, when he already became the emperor.
I believe so. In the novel the ML makes her marry his eunuch, in order to keep her close to him, but I guess it's…
There was a wedding în the novel, just that it wasn't with YQ, but with ML's eunuch, at ML's request. As for why did she agree, I can't seem to remember, either because she couldn't say no to whatever ML asked of her, either because she wanted to cut ties with him, but I doubt it, because the reason why the ML married her to his eunuch was precisely to have her close. Either way, I don't believe the drama will play this card, I see no reason at that point for the FL to marry YQ în order for neither escape ML or fake her death, seeing that the ML is sick / helpless and he doesn't look as if he holds much authority over her at that point. It doesn't look as if he became emperor yet either. I tend to believe she will do it în order to protect him or because he asks her too, since YQ seems to be turning to the dark side.
I believe so. In the novel the ML makes her marry his eunuch, in order to keep her close to him, but I guess it's…
Yue Qin didn't play a big role în the novel, as far as I remember, he was basically just a kid whom the FL helped in the beginning and apperead again towards the end of the story as a friend and as the one who helped her fake her death. They never got married and he never had any romantic interest towards her. As I said, the drama is quite different from the novel, not just the plot, but also their relationship's dynamic is different. In the novel, the FL knew early on that she's falling for the ML and altough she wasn't really submissive to him all the time, she did put his well being above her interests. If I follow this logic, my guess îs that she is going to marry Yue Qin for the ML's sake (from the ost video, a sickly ML is present at the wedding, hidding behind a wall or something) but again, it's hard to tell, giving that the drama is so different from the novel, both plot and character wise.
I was looking at the drama photos, there are two photos where Mei Lin and Yue Qin are together in some kind of…
I believe so. In the novel the ML makes her marry his eunuch, in order to keep her close to him, but I guess it's going to be different în the drama. A lot of changes have been made already.
I don't remember in the book the transition from knowing to not knowing. (because I read it through automatic…
In the novel it wasn't. She figured out herself, because of his smell and his cough. She all of a sudden asked him for the antidote, because she was in pain, but he played dumb. Sort of i don't know what you are talking about, however I know some herbs that could help you with the pain.
They kinda sold us a different character în the first episodes, either the ML has an agenda that we don't know about yet, either the promotion was a bit misleading . Either way, still a good drama, just different than what I expected...but who knows what's going to happen în the future episodes, too early to tell.
Me too. Furthermore, the changes (in the drama) made this happy ending acceptable and plausible.
Oh maybe I didn't pay enough attention or something. I kept reading how evil the ML was în the novel, that I started to believe that I must have read some censored version of the novel. Was mostly an as.hole torn between 2 women basically.
