at this point I'm just worried about their careers π Talay just got his dream job, but can the real Tess do his job as a colorist? will he get fired? poor Talay worked so hard to get in that company π also, what about Tun, can he even act?? what if he ruin the actor's image π
and then there's Puen and Talay trying their best to do screenwriting ππ
Wow I'm really impressed with Jimmy and Sea's chemistry, knowing that this is their first series as a couple. Their vibes are really natural and comfortable to watch.
I didn't expect it, since I saw them before in safehouse season 3 and they're both so quiet and shy with each other, unlike Joong and dunk (those two are like literal lovebirds π€£).
So each of Theory of Love episodes are based on romcom movies, and Vice Versa episodes are based on colours?? As a film and cinematography nerd, I could die right now. π What is it with Jittirain and film industry topics? π
Here's a funny thing, I've dropped this since the first ep, but I keep coming back to this page, because y'all are invested and keep on torturing yourself by watching and then come here to rant about it, and I'm living for the comments π what is this weird phenomenon?? π
I think this should be a new genre or trend in BL, because it's somehow entertaining (?)
The fact that some people are literally giving 1 or 2 with too much toxicity for their taste while some people…
I know righttt, it's always like this with mdl ratings. Haters unreasonably rating too low because they just "hate" it, then fans are rating 10 10 10 for everything, because they're just too biased. Srsly, the word "perfection" really lost its actual meaning with fans.
I wish we have a separated rating system for actual experts in filmmaking that can rate these objectively.
For me 8.3 is good enough, the problem is that tv series that are much worse have an higher score. But this is…
I see, I haven't been using mdl much except for BL, so I had no idea. I really wish MDL to have something like professional critics score and audience score, like in rotten tomatoes. So we can see which are actually good and not just because the biased ratings.
This is WHY I sometimes trust MDL rating. The toxic, unreasonably low rating from haters "balanced out" the biased, overly glorifying fans that give a 10 without actual thinking π
Then we're left with the reliable rating from people that actually have taste and are rating with their brain objectively, and not subjectively.
An 8.3... Am I the only one who agree with this and think it's good enough?
I do agree that those "kids" that give this a 1-5 rating are just biased. Really, if you care so much about morality, you shouldn't be watching this in the first place. It's like watching the avengers, and then saying that it's bad and toxic because they kill people π
But if we're objectively rating KP based on the criteria of filmmaking and storytelling, it's not that perfect either. So it's a pretty good score to me.
To anyone that's about to watch KP: I know this is mafia themed, you saw the trailers, you're probably expecting thrilling action scenes, dark mafia stories, complex underground mystery plot. But hear me out. Please DON'T take it too seriously (because I did, at first, and it wasn't enjoyable). Once you stop caring about them being mafias, their mafia problems, or the realism of their decisions and actions that are happening, everything becomes much less ridiculous, more enjoyable and easier to watch.
Especially if you just focus on riding in the romance, sexiness, emotional wreck, comic relief, cool-looking mafia boys, compelling & fun characters, wacky-styled action scenes, it becomes a fun ride, trust me π Because it IS a very enjoyable series, it's worth watching, especially with the impressive production quality and casts.
This series honestly could be a masterpiece had it not been for the plot and screenwriting. Everything else is already so good. Great casts, interesting dynamics, impressive cinematography... Ugh whyy π
Good series but plot is kinda ridiculous and messy. I don't know why these characters never stop and think why…
Yesss I agree. The romance, pretty good. The mafia plot, all over the place. I don't like that they don't even include "us" as the audience to understand what's the plan, what's the problem, what's going on. The decisions are always made randomly and suddenly, and sometimes, just to create drama. I can't take their mafia profession seriously.
Writing a character that is very rude and cold is fine, since there's actual people that are like that, it's realistic... BUT the biggest problem for me is that, the depth of the writing and the way they play out this character is just messy and unreasonable. That's what's ruining it, not because he's a bad, rude person, the writing is just not enough to fully expose his character as a whole.
But still, I think it's slightly better than the first season tho
Unless you're like me, I'm only here for the comedy in the comment section π

"For me, you're not a movie"
"You are real"

please remove those recommendations, people will be misled π

What is it with Jittirain and film industry topics? π
Not me is outstanding tho, but I didn't include it because I thought it's from 2021 π
we're entering the second half of 2022, and there's barely any notably outstanding BL so far.
what is this weird phenomenon?? π

Me: GODDAMMIT KORN ISTG
How many plot twist do you want to include in this series?
Writer (and probably Korn): Yes.
But still, I think it's slightly better than the first season tho
