The movie has a happy ending overall. For a lot of us who saw it in the theater though it didn't really flow at…
I live in South Korea but I'm watching the series by using a VPN on Viki.

In the movie it came off as an accident. They went to beach alone--just Ji Hyun and Jae Won. Now there might be some missing scenes like her sabotaging his strap or something but none of that was in the movie. It came off as very much an accident. A storm suddenly comes and the waves get out of control and Ji Hyun just isn't used to swimming in such a strong current and gets swept under.

I don't now. I don't think they made a lot of money because I think now that the movie did this series a disservice. I don't see why they couldn't have sold it to Watcha or Heavenly? But me and the friends I went with all came out thinking it was very much a disappointing movie. The series is much better though. There should be even separate ratings pages for the two. I would honestly give the movie a 3 or 4 out of 10 while right now the series I would put at an 8 or 8.5.

if they will show Ji Hyun actually in the hospital in the series because they never did in the movie. It was just mentioned that that's where he was and then he was shown out of the hospital and back to work.

It was extremely choppy. Two people even left the theater when I saw it because it was so choppy. :(. Here though, I see where a lot of character development happened. It's definitely clearer and more cohesive. It also makes me wonder.....

More:

The scene where they talk in the surf shop wasn't in the movie. Even when they ask about sizing and how tall he is wasn't there. It just went straight to them getting dressed in the wet suits to them on the beach so another weird "how did we get here" in the movie version.

The scene with them walking on the beach after getting dressed in their wetsuits is longer. There was no scene of them picking out their surfboards in the movie.

There was no scene of just relaxing with the boards and Ji Hyun laying on the board wrong. It just jumped straight pretty much from the dressing scene to the showing him how to paddle while on the sand in the movie.

They also never showed Ji Hyun being strapped to his board in the movie which I thought odd since he said he had never swum in the ocean.

I don't remember this long of a BBQ scene. with Jae Won cooking meat and Ji Hyun offering to help him. I think in the movie it went straight from the shower scene to everyone singing around the campfire. Another jump that in the movie was completely disorienting but here I see what happened. There was no scene where Jae Won and Ji Hyun were drinking with everyone else around the table.

There definitely wasn't this lover's shot scene in the movie that happens around the campfire.

Overall, yes there are additional scenes and they make the plot make more sense.

Okay. I've finished episode one and I've started episode 2.

Here are some differences:
The scene with the boss feels longer.
The scene where Ji Hyun and his roommate are sitting outside the university was in the movie but it never actually showed Ji Hyun seeing Jae Won enter the school. So it was a weird jump where one minute he was with his friend and then the next he was just following Jae Won.
The montage where he explores Seoul by himself and goes to the Han River wasn't in the movie. I feel like there was a very short montage but this was long. He even takes pictures and calls his mom. I don't remember it being in the movie. It wasn't even clear in the movie that he's an artist so I just learned something new. I didn't get why he was carrying around this random suitcase in the movie.

Start of episode 2:
They talk about room assignments and actually show the students going into a room with bunk beds. This wasn't in the movie. In the movie it literally went from them being on the bus to them being on the beach and talking about surfing. There was nothing about room assignments, talking by the bunks, sharing a room with a friend he doesn't want to share with, None of these bunk scenes were there at all. I knew nothing about any of the other students at the beach.

So yes, it's already significantly better.

I actually haven't watched the series version yet. I was so annoyed at the movie that I will wait until the series is finished to watch it. But so far, people said that they enjoyed the girl singing on the beach which is weird to me because that was about the halfway point in the movie so I'm just confused all around.

The movie has a happy ending overall. For a lot of us who saw it in the theater though it didn't really flow at all. Jae Won is in therapy because his younger brother died. He takes a liking to Ji Hyun because he kind of reminds him of his brother that died. That can be a little weird but whatever. Anyway, the ambulance is because Ji Hyun has an accident and drowns. In the movie they make you think he died for a little bit but in reality he is in the ICU at the hospital. The surfing club is disbanded because of this accident. Jae Won punches one of his classmates for talking shit. Mind you, they never actually show Ji Hyun in the hospital in the movie. They only tell you that he's in the ICU and then all of the sudden he pops up and is fine? By the time he gets out of the hospital, Jae Won is dating and making out with the girl from the surfing club. Not sure what her name is. Eventually, he stops that though and goes back to Ji Hyun. They end up together.

But in the world of the mature and healthy minds, you tell your new partner "hey my family is shit we will take…
It's never said that Phil Hyun is from that town. Only that he knew his parents. And Ji Woo isn't actually from that town either. They were outsiders that moved to the town in 10th grade. So that's where he lived when his parents were alive but I don't think it's actually his hometown.

I agree. The way he worded it made it sound like it seemed like he couldn't lover her because he was gay. Also,…
The one thing about this director, is that she's never had her female characters play an enemy role. So I find it hard to believe that's why she would bring her in.

I think theres something between the lines - when Ji Woo told Yoon Seun that he is sorry for what he couldnt do…
I agree. The way he worded it made it sound like it seemed like he couldn't lover her because he was gay.

Also, it was revealed that Yoon Seoul CHOSE Seo Joon to be the model of her jewelry. Why? She could have literally gone with any other actor. Did she also see the vlog that was on Seo Joon's YouTube channel and see her ex in it? I get the feeling that she KNOWS about them to a degree. No details or anything but she has an inkling. That's why she said you can't let personal matters get in the way of business when they were all helping Ji Woo clean out that other room in his restaurant.

Not only that, did Ji Woo naming his restaurant “Ti Aspetto” or “waiting for someone” pointed at him longing…
I think that still means he's waiting for Seo Joon. That's also why he still has the ring under his finger.

If there's one thing I Do think this show might stereotypically do that Kdrama's love it's a childhood connection. If I was to take an educated guess, Ji Woo realizes that something that happened with his parents had a direct effect on Seo Joon too. Like that flash back that Seo Joon got when they were looking for Yoo Ha looked like it was more in the countryside and either the lights were car lights or something was being filmed. K Drama land loves these types of tropes and while most have been avoided with this show, I do think something with Ji Woo's parents has something to do with Seo Joon's parents and that was the straw that broke the camel's back on top of everything else and made Ji Woo leave.

Where does he go on his morning hikes? I feel like after every rewatch I have new questions. Hehe.
I think this also has to do with him avoiding people. He goes to work via the woods instead of on the streets.
I feel like I focused on different things that most people when it came to this episode. Sure, the parts where Seo Joon and Ji Woo were arguing were painful to watch, but what caught my attention the most were the background characters.

1). What happened with Ji Woo's parents many years ago? Why did the elderly village grandma say that they should really quit taking out on Ji Woo when it was his parents were at fault?

2). What did the villagers say last time there was a camera crew there? Why does it seem that something major happened or was said and that is why they want to make sure to see the footage before it gets released.

3). Ji Woo is very protective of Seo Joon and tells him that it's not a good idea to get too close to the elders in the village. This to me has something to do with the two questions above and to me is also linked to why Ji Woo left. I wonder if it also involves Seo Joon's parents but that part seems like a stretch .What ever it is, these are the answers I want.

Last, I don't think in anyway shape or form Ji Woo is getting back with the ex gf. It's clear their conversation is about closure and maybe he will open up to her. It looks like he already is. Their conversation even comes across that she might know he is gay given the fact that he apologized for not being able to be there for her.

It's 10 . The official list is out. But the total runtime is equal to the info we got months back, that is, 299…
But it looks like the last two episodes are about 40 minutes each which explains the confusion

No character has said this. Therefore, I personally feel you are jumping a gun. Just because he had an ex girlfriend…
Again. Her being Ji Woos ex does not mean she’s also straight.

.Here We Go Again: "I'm Really Straight, Just Gay for You."I'm tired of BL's that insist on giving the men ex-girlfriends…
No character has said this. Therefore, I personally feel you are jumping a gun. Just because he had an ex girlfriend does not make him straight and tbh this ex is giving pretty sapphic vibes imho. But a lot of gay people have exes of the opposite sex. I would say a large majority do.
