Excellent chemistry

The chemistry between Tutor and Fighter is undeniable! Whoever cast them deserves a raise. Their emotions and love for each other are palpable, making their romance incredibly compelling. The acting skills are top-notch, and the intimate scenes feels authentic.

However, I didn't quite feel the spark between Zon and Zaifah even though they look cute together. One thing that turned me off of the story was the large cast – some characters and scenes felt unnecessary and didn't contribute to the main couple's narrative. It seemed like some supporting actors were given screen time just for the sake of it. There are scenes that were annoying.

Given that this series was filmed 5 years ago, the cinematography isn't great, but it's surprising to see it doesn't hold up compared to other shows from the same era. For me, Tutor and Fighter's chemistry makes this series worth watching.

I love this series but it lacks intimacy

I binge watch this for straight two days. I was here after watching Laws of attraction.

This series won me over despite initial reservations about its large cast. As an old soul with a fondness for historical settings, I was drawn to the show's unique backdrop. While I anticipated Yang, Thian's half-brother, might play the villain, I pleasantly surprised by his unwavering loyalty and love for Thian throughout the series. And I'm glad that his mother did not successfully brainwashed him. Though Yang mother's character in this series was full of hatred I find her hilarious sometimes lol.

This show is not focusing on romance but it focused more on family dynamics, business, and societal pressures. The real conflict arises when Thian's mother discovers that he is gay since he was young highlighting the struggles of acceptance in a conservative era. The character development between the leads is gradual, with Jiu's introduction spaced out over few episodes. While the chemistry between the actors is superb, their relationship lacks intimacy, which might be due to the actors' comfort level with romantic scenes, a trait also noticeable in Laws of Attraction the series.

Despite this, I enjoyed the series and appreciated its happy ending. If you're a fan of historical BL dramas with complex family dynamics, this series worth checking out.

Toxic Story and Flawed character but must watch

Initially, I wasn't sure what to make of it and almost stopped watching after the first episode because I thought it would be confusing. However, I'm glad I persevered, as the story eventually clicked into place. If you're tempted to drop it early, I encourage you to keep going.

One aspect I appreciate about this series is its portrayal of flawed characters, particularly Ming. While some viewers might find his actions hard to accept, I think it's refreshing to see realistic, complex characters. Ming's journey from a place of hurt and possessiveness to one of growth and self-awareness is compelling. Yes, he crossed a line by hurting and locking up Joe, and being a bad and insulting boyfriend at first. This made some of the viewers tough to watch. But what's admirable is how he acknowledges his mistakes, apologizes, and works towards change.

It's also heartwarming to see Ming realize his true feelings for Joe, distinct from his earlier infatuation with Tong. The character development and emotional depth make My Stand-in a worthwhile watch. If you are not into toxic story then don't watch this. Surely you can't handle this. It's a heavy series and not light.

Filipino BL series that has fairytale vibes

As Filipino myself I like this series as it offers a unique glimpse into Filipino culture and family dynamics. One of the things that impressed me was the noticeable effort and budget put into the production – it's clear that the creators aimed to elevate the standard for Filipino BL series, which often face budget constraints.

The series has a fairytale-like quality, with vibrant visuals and a compelling narrative. If you're a fan of poor and rich couple you might enjoy this show. In addition, Ace and Sky, have undeniable chemistry, and their intimate scenes are passionate and authentic.

However, there were few nonsensical scenes involving villains.

Regarding the series' structure, I found it uninteresting that Season 2 shifted focus away from Ace and introduced a new love interest. While this change made the season less compelling for me, I understand that real-world issues between the actor Aki Torres (who played Ace) and the management might have influenced the creative decisions.

Despite this, I continued watching Season 2 because I became invested in the second couple, Fifth and Zeke. If you're interested in exploring Filipino culture and BL storytelling, My Day is worth checking out.

Funny, entertaining, cute, great coming of age BL series

Usually, I am not really into highschool or college setting BL series because I watched tons already and I'm sick of it but I give this a try because it made me curious when I saw the trailer.

That said, I thoroughly enjoyed 'I Will Knock You'! This BL series offers a refreshing take on teenage gangster life, blending cute moments, humor, and heartwarming scenes that kept me hooked. The characters' dynamic and interactions are genuinely endearing.

I think the series could benefit from exploring Noey's father's backstory – a glimpse into his life or fate would add another layer to Noey's character as it is not shown what happens to him, whether he is alive or dead. Initially, I found Thi a bit frustrating due to his passivity and cowardness especially every time Noey bullied him. It would've been great to see Thi stand up for himself more or, better yet, if the series started with them as enemies, with Noey's constant teasing pushing Thi to his limits.

Despite these minor critiques, I loved many aspects of the series including the cinematography - it's awesome. The OST, particularly the song about destiny, resonated with me – there's something about old-school tunes that hits home. Noey's stylist in this series deserves a raise! His vintage-inspired fashion, hairstyles, and even the gang members' looks are fantastic. It's adorable how Noey's style reflects his love for vintage things, from his clothes, movie choices to his trusty Nokia dumbphone in a world of smartphones.

Overall, 'I Will Knock You' is a charming series with great characters and style. I'd definitely recommend it to fans of BL and coming-of-age stories!

Amazing Ghost BL series

At first I find this series boring but don't give up yet until you progress to the next episodes, it becomes better. The storyline is unique, and the plot twists are fantastic. Although I'm not typically a fan of ghost stories, I was drawn in by the compelling narrative and the emotional depth of the characters. What makes this series stand out is the way it explores the relationship between the two leads, who are both alive but connected to a tragic family history.

One of the highlights for me was the portrayal of the intimate scenes, which felt authentic and natural. The chemistry between the couple is undeniable, and their interactions are genuinely captivating. Overall, I'd recommend giving this series a chance.

Main couple no chemistry

The overall storyline of My Engineer is quite good, but I felt that the main couple lacked intimacy and chemistry. From the beginning, their relationship felt a bit shallow, and I just couldn’t connect with their dynamic. In contrast, I found Boss and Mek much more engaging.

I also enjoyed the story of King and Ram, though I was disappointed that their relationship didn’t progress further. I heard there were plans for a second season, but sadly, it was cancelled.

If you're looking for a BL series filled with romance and passionate moments, this might not be the one for you. It seems the actors had certain limitations and were only able to do what they were comfortable with, which is completely understandable. However, even without explicit scenes, strong chemistry between leads can make a big difference. Unfortunately, I just didn’t feel that spark in the main couple.

Funny, cute, beautiful cinematography

I'm not sure why this series has a low rating. Personally, I really enjoyed it! The cinematography is stunning, and the beach setting is absolutely beautiful. While it may not be a typical BL series filled with lots of kissing or bed scenes, I appreciated the charm of the main leads, Prem and Boun.

I especially loved the character development of the main couple. Their journey from enemies to slowly growing attached and eventually realizing their feelings for each other was heartwarming. If you're expecting a BL that focuses heavily on physical romance, this might not be the one for you—but if you're into slow-burn connections and emotional growth, it’s definitely worth watching.

As for the second couple, I didn’t quite feel the connection with the main storyline. Their link felt distant, even though their fathers are close friends. That said, the fathers added a lot of humor to the series, and I really enjoyed their presence.

One standout moment for me was the monkey in the coconut tree throwing coconuts at Sun—it was absolutely hilarious! I have no idea how they got the monkey to do that, but it was such a fun and unexpected scene.

Overall, Even Sun is a light, charming watch with beautiful visuals and a cute storyline. Give it a try if you're in the mood for something different in the BL genre.

This is worth your time

I really love this BL series! It features one of the best hospital settings I’ve seen in any show. While Tin seems stuck in a time loop during the first few episodes and some scenes are repeated, I understand they were necessary to help viewers fully grasp the story.

Every episode is exciting, with no dull moments, and each character portrays their role exceptionally well.

The plot twist is unpredictable when Tin also dies in different time loops instead of Tol.

The only downside is the ending - kinda rush. It could be better if Tin and Tol would spend more time together (being a happy couple) or there is a sequel where they spend life together as a happy couple.

Nevertheless, I still recommend this series.

I HAVE TRIED IT BUT THIS SERIES DIDN'T WORK FOR ME...

I had never heard of 180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us until someone recommended it on kisskh. Usually, I discover BL series through YouTube or TikTok, but this one never popped up, almost as if no one’s talking about it. That surprised me, because this series is seriously underrated.

180 Degree isn’t your typical fluffy romance. It’s not a show you can casually watch; it demands your attention and invites analysis. Despite the emotional heaviness at times, I genuinely enjoyed the first to fourth episodes.

Even though the character Wang is quite young, the show feels more mature than most BL dramas I’ve seen. It leans heavily on unspoken emotions and lingering glances rather than overt dialogue, yet it still manages to keep you engaged. There were moments, especially during some of the extended conversations where I felt bored.

One thing that stood out to me was how often Wang's father is referenced, yet his face is never shown. I think the story would’ve been stronger with a few flashbacks or at least a short scene involving him and In. Just seeing him in photos didn’t feel like enough given how central he is to the plot.

The pacing is slow, and the themes are heavy. It’s not purely a BL series, it dives deep into grief, loss, alcoholism, forbidden love, self-discovery, homophobia, acceptance, and forgiveness. One aspect I really appreciated was Wang’s relationship with his mother. They argue at times, but their bond is strong and endearing, more like close friends than just parent and child.

Pond, who plays Wang, was a revelation. I was shocked to realize he was also in Century of Love, he was so compelling here that I barely recognized him. The actors playing his mom and In were also excellent in their roles.

Visually, the series is stunning. The cinematography is gorgeous, and the grayish color grading fits the mood perfectly.

Unfortunately, I ended up dropping the series around episode five. The pacing felt too slow for me, the conversations dragged on, and it became repetitive, especially with the ongoing focus on Wang's father. Even after In had shared so much about him, the topic kept circling back.

Still, I think 180 Degree is an emotionally rich and mature BL series with a unique storytelling approach. If you enjoy slow-burn dramas that make you think, it’s definitely worth checking out, even if it didn’t quite work for me in the end.

Too Many Characters, Too Little Plot

I gave Perfect 10 Liners a shot because of the high ratings and all the hype, but honestly, it didn’t work for me.

Yes, the show is light and funny in parts, but I had to **drop it halfway** through. The **huge cast and multiple couples** made it super overwhelming. I don’t mind ensemble series (*We Are* pulled it off beautifully), but here it just felt crowded and hard to follow. There are just *too many faces and too little substance*.

The **episodes are long**, and a lot of scenes felt like filler. It was dragging without really going anywhere, and I kept asking myself, “Where is this story even headed?”

Plot-wise? **Pretty standard**. Another university BL with engineering students, a cheesy setup, and **nothing new to offer**. I really hope future shows give us something fresh, maybe BLs set in law school or forensic science, just for a change.

Also, **ForceBook’s chemistry felt off** to me in this one. I love them individually, but together here it felt a bit... forced. Like, the emotional pull just wasn’t there.

In the end, the show didn’t have enough plot, uniqueness, or strong pairing to keep me hooked. Just not my thing.

Feel Good Drama With A Side Of Toothache

I saw a bunch of negative comments about Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist, but honestly, I didn’t pay much attention to them. I’ve always had a soft spot for rom-coms, so I gave it a try, and actually it's not bad and really liked the first episode.

STGD is super cute, lighthearted, and funny. It’s definitely one of those comfort series you can turn to when you're feeling down. The cinematography and color grading are also really charming.

Even though it’s mostly a rom-com, there’s a bit of drama mixed in, especially with Sant’s and Jway's sad backstory, which adds some emotional depth.

Now let’s talk about Mark and Ohm, their chemistry is off the charts. I could really see the connection between them. I know people say the series isn’t doing well, but I truly hope this pairing gets another chance. You can tell they gave it their all. I’ve seen Mark in supporting roles before and he always stands out, he’s a really talented actor. Same goes for Ohm.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the series, but I think they both deserve better writing. Still, Mark’s acting—especially in the jealousy scenes, is so good. The way he expresses emotions with his eyes, movements, and expressions says everything without overdoing it. Ohm nailed his role too. None of the acting felt cringey at all, and the pacing kept things from ever getting boring.

I know some viewers didn’t love Captain’s appearance in the later episodes, or how Sant kept pushing Jway away, but I actually didn’t mind it. The conflict added a bit of spice and made things feel more realistic. Jway finding little excuses just to be near Sant? Adorable.

I was laughing from start to finish. Sure, there’s a plot hole here and there, but it didn’t really bother me. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed STGD and I’d happily recommend it to anyone who just wants a feel-good, funny, and sweet series to unwind with.

Boring, storyline is ordinary, no excitement at all

I gave this series a shot, but unfortunately, it didn't click with me. The story felt ordinary and sometimes cringeworthy, which made it hard to get invested. As a seasoned BL viewer who's watched hundreds of series, I was surprised that I couldn't get past episode 5 – boredom got the better of me.

Maybe because I am not really into office setting. In addition the leads' chemistry didn't spark any excitement. Sometimes, you just can't force it, and this one wasn't for me. Maybe you'll have a different experience, but for me, it didn't quite hit the mark.

Not for me

Oxin’s BL series are honestly starting to feel like a joke. It’s like each new show gets worse than the last. The acting in this one is especially cringey during the argument scenes—so unnatural. Not everyone is bad though; a few of the supporting characters actually did a decent job.

What really threw me off were the green jokes. I was getting goosebumps—and not in a good way. If you’re familiar with Oxin Films, you’ll know they always sneak in these kinds of lines every episode. And yeah, they’re still cringey. If you understand Tagalog, you’d totally get what I mean.

But this time it’s even more vulgar. Like, lines that actually say "horny," "experiencing boner," "it seems like you’re cumming," or a guy doing a sex video call. Seriously? This is on YouTube where minors can easily access it. That’s just not okay.

I’m disappointed because Oxin usually nails the production value. Hermoso had real potential—honestly, I’ve never seen a BL with this kind of concept before. A love story between a fisherman and a boss? And the setting? A boat and a sardines factory! That’s actually refreshing and unique. But they should’ve toned down the green jokes and avoided the vulgar stuff. This series even have threesome scene on it, oh my!!! 😂 The other main lead already have a wife and still get involved with a guy.

Btw, the guys here are hot though with all the six-packs abs and a tanned skin—definitely that Filipino beauty vibe. They got that right this time. But, these actors seriously need acting workshops. No wonder it feels like Oxin Films always rushes their productions.

So overall, I liked the following things:

-Good production value
-Excellent cinematography and OST
-Hot guys

Dislike:
-Cringe acting
-Uses green jokes and vulgar words every episode
-Main lead has wife but have an affair with his boss
-Unnecessary threesome scene

A ROBOT AND A HUMAN CUTE LOVE

A robot and human in a relationship? Sounds impossible, but honestly, it's a fresh concept for me, this is the first time I’ve watched something like this. I’ll admit, the first episode didn’t really hook me. It felt kind of slow, but after that, it just clicked.

✅ Episode 2: That fake argument between the girl and her boyfriend at the club? Totally cracked me up 😂

✅ I couldn’t stop giggling when the robot called Bu Shi “baby” after they kissed. Such a flirty little bot.

✅ Bu Shi, though… he can be so annoying sometimes with his constant mood swings. Like, bro, are you 12 years old? He’s hard to read.

✅ The kidnapping scene was kinda lame ngl, and then bam, Ever 4 shows up right away to save the day 😂

Even though Ever 4 is a robot, he’s basically a whole green forest. He even went out and found a job just to support his spoiled brat young master. Gotta love that about him.

I get where Bu Shi’s coming from emotionally, but man, his attitude doesn’t always make sense. One minute he’s all sweet to Ever 4, and the next he’s cold and always sulking.

That said, the main leads are solid actors, especially the one who plays Bu Shi. He honestly gets on my nerves, which probably means he’s doing a good job, lol.

The chemistry between the leads is okay, not exactly fire, and yeah, you can definitely tell there’s an age gap. But the side couple? Super cute and have great chemistry. As for the dad’s acting, it's kinda cringey. The production value isn’t the best, the audio's weak. I noticed the same house and club set from See Your Love. 😅 Also, the visuals in Taiwanese BLs are usually not that polished which I often noticed.

The ending makes me really smiled because of their lovey dovey moments. And finally, I can see Bu Shi's maturity. 😂

There were noticeable plot holes in this series, but still I really enjoyed it. Eternal Butler is a lighthearted romance with a good dose of comedy. Even though one of the characters complains a lot, the series is cute overall.
