I really want them in Tian Guan Ci Fu (the other story of the Untamed's author)... but I don't know if it will…
Yibo as Hua Cheng (the ghost king) and Xiao Zhan as Xie Lian (crown prince)... their personalities and relationship in real life is already like them and their visuals are on point. Xiao Zhan is beautiful but is still very manly and handsome...and Yibo got that childishness of a boy but also the demeanor of a "boss". Honestly think they will suit the roles so well.
Hi, I am at episode 17 so far and tbh I am not impressed. Is it going to get better further along or is it just…
I always say this but if you are at ep. 17 and you don't like it, just drop it. There is no point in forcing yourself to watch something just because there is a hype about it. Don't get me wrong, I love this show that even until now I am still repeating it but it's just not everyone's cup of tea. I've got my standards and Untamed was everything I wanted to see and you got your standards... that's all there is.
I am rewatching TU (again !) and in the same time I am reading the novel (my early Christmas gift) and I watch…
I really want them in Tian Guan Ci Fu (the other story of the Untamed's author)... but I don't know if it will ever happen. We should all pray together for a miracle :(
Guys!! Beside The Living Dead movie for which we have already seen the trailer, there will be another movie called…
So glad they are focusing on the Nie brothers...Hopefully they can show some flashbacks of the brother's childhood since it was never covered in book nor drama so we couldn't really understand NHS's determination and love for his brother.
Genuinely confused at your statement cause wwx and lwj are like stuck with each other from first encounter until…
The camera works on LWJ and WWX is more of what I would describe as how they film romantic scenes especially with the romantic background music. It's pretty obvious the production team are making LWJ and WWX the couple of the show..nothing subtle with their editing. Also, don't know what you mean about the way he responds to the look...maybe it's just how you're interpreting the scene.
And oo, I do not find anything romantic with WWX behaviors for shijie. It has always been portrayed as familial love. She gives him unconditional love like a mother would to a son and he finds that relationship precious because he can go to her whenever he is down or that she would never accuse/fault him unreasonably. He doesn't want to marry her... he just wants the best person for her. It's the same as what a brother or son feels for their sibling/or mother. If you see it as romantic because she's a woman and he's a man, then someone is wrong with your interpretation.
So i ve been patient and i m at 20th episode. So where is that (bro)mance? They dont have that much of scenes…
Genuinely confused at your statement cause wwx and lwj are like stuck with each other from first encounter until they separate at around episode 14/15... and there is nothing romantic between him and shijie while wwx barely has any scenes with wen qing? Plus wxx flirting with lwj since episode 2 onward is pretty obvious...nothing subtle about their pining.
I also thought Core Crusher had the potential to be an interesting character, but I also think he's an example…
Totally agreed with you.I will never understand people who watches BL based drama in hope of finding a male x female pairing when like the majority of dramas are male x female and the hetero pair is like the main couple in those dramas. Also, it's offensive when people say things like they can enjoy a drama when they don't know the original source is BL... that is just ignorant and homophobic.
(you can state even the obvious things as i might have missed them but that story is too painful for me to rewatch.…
So the drama kinda skip some details from the novel so I'll try to explain what you missed according to novel :) Long rant ahead.
1) XY hates the Chang clan because when he was still a child, the guy Chang Ping (I'll abbreviate as CP) asked him to deliver a letter to another guy he has issues with in exchange for a plate of sweets. When XY was young, he was very naive and gullible so he delivers the message but got slapped instead. He return back to find out the CP already left and did not give him his reward. He finds CP later outside on his carriage and climb onto the carriage to ask for his reward but the guy got irritated, threw him off, and drove his carriage over his hand which resulted in him losing his pinky. Chang Ping is part of the family he murdered in the drama. Xiao Xingchen was supporting and helping this family, and so XY hated him.
2) In the novel, XXC died but cannot be revived because his soul is shattered from the suicide. He basically has zero will to ever wake up again. I think it's the same in drama; the XXC's fragmented soul is kept in the pouch. Song Lan doesn't actually wield XXC's sword. He just carries it with him to feel like XXC is by his side exorcising evil because that was their original dream together.
3) XY is a psychopath and enjoys toying with XXC at first because he hates XXC's idealistic view of the world. They cuts off some details about XXC but he left his sect when he was still like 18? because he wants to save the world alongside his best friend Song Lan. XY finds them hypocrites and just wants to taint XXC. The candy part about XY's childhood got cut big time from the drama but in novel, XY tells the story of how he lost his pinky to XXC and AQing and after that, XXC would buy candies for both of them and leave it by their bed (I assume this is what starts to change XY's feelings for XXC).
I feel bad for SL, like he and XXC never made up and he didn't get a chance to tell XXC that he doesn't blame him (like why the drama gotta cut that part out too). XY is just a very complex character—I genuinely felt for him when he realized he could no longer revive XXC. You gotta understand that XY toys with life a lot and is able to always revive people back as fierce corpses/living corpses etc...so when XXC died, it didn't scare him at first. He lost his mind and spent his lifetime after that trying to figure out how to bring XXC back but is also still in denial that he genuinely likes XXC; in novel, he keeps using the excuse that he just wants to turn XXC into a fierce corpse so he can control him. Ok, long rant but hopes it helps.
I agree with other users saying ep 10-14 is the litmus test. if you’re on ep 20 and the drama is still not clicking,…
Yeah SARFT works weird...e.g. some dramas are still getting away with time travel despite the ban. It's just unfortunate cause tons of bl novel includes transmigration as part of the plot device.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious WWX never died because transmigration is banned and also Wen Ning never died either in CQL because zombies are also banned. There's no other way around it. I think a lot of people actually already noticed this and understand why the changes had to be made.
Yeahh its a short movie but dont know much details...
I was able to hear the audio in the teaser. Plan appears to be on the phone with someone asking for advice because he has been dating Mean for 8 years but Mean seems to changing? He said something like "I want my husband back." :)
