Yes I saw "Dao Pra Sook" when I was a kid and didn't realize how terrible that plot was. He basically adopts her and rapes her when she tries to leave...and they still end up getting married at the end...like WTF he is her uncle (her mom's brother).

Ok don't want to sound negative but if you're at 20 and feel no excitement, maybe drop it? or ask yourself why you watched it in the first place...some people come into CQL looking for romance or BL...etc, and can't get into it cause it's not heavy on romance or others can't absorb all the info given to them since CQL is more complex than what they usually watch.

No, I didn't misunderstand you but what I was responding to is the OP's question whether ML is "gay" which according to novel they are, and that the drama stays loyal to source material except for explicit discussion of their sexual preference (which is also why I warned that there is no female lead nor major hetero romance since for some reason some people keep trying to find in CQL?). I was not referring to whether the drama is considered gay romance (BL) or not because if anything, romance is only a small (like super small) subgenre of the Untamed.

But in all honesty, the only people who are still able to see LZ and WY as straight men in the drama is probably because they haven't considered the existence of ancient gays lol.

Don't worry about it...not everyone is gonna like the same thing just cause it's popular. I never got into poplar franchise like Star Wars, Harry Potter, nor Avengers regardless of how much family/friends make me watch it...it happens :)

I get your point on schedules, but the thing is Pete is the main character in LBC besides Ae. If his schedule is not available, the common thing to do in the industry is to wait until it opens up because that's less risky than to push forward with replacement cast or a change in story. It's not like there is a deadline set on sequels (some sequels come out like a decade later).

The other thing is people are saying Pete isn't the main focus of season 2 according to the novel which is not true. AePete is always the main while Tincan is the side couple. Tincan don't have enough materials from the novel to suddenly make them the leads. For the production team to decide to boost them to leads mean they have given up entirely on AePete's story which I don't know why and won't try to guess why but schedule conflicts aint it.

People can interpret LWJ/WWX relationship however they want in the drama but the fact is they are lovers in the novel, and that's the relationship the author/the production team would've intended them to be seen as.

In my honest opinion, it's clear they are depicted as each other's love interests. I mean LWJ did not remain single that many years just searching for his brother so they could be brothers again, nor would he bend all his family rules just to stand by WWX's side because he don't want to let his friend down again.

I'm actually interested in your interpretation of their relationship. If you don't mind, can you share?

Hopefully they do get a Taiwanese remake. I'm not completely sold on the story because of the dubious consent stuff but still would like to see it to the end.

Wasn't there also rumor for a South Korea adaptation? The Taiwanese adaptation never confirmed any actors so I am so confused if they are filming or not...

Lol, they are not banned from seeing each other. There is no such ban in China. They were only banned from promoting the show in public which is common in China when a show is banned.

They actually reduced JGY's story by a lot in the last part so the details are lacking. In novel, JGY built the temple on top of what used to be the brothel where he grew up in. When he was young, he witnessed people often bullying his mother mainly because she was an educated prostitute. He really loved his mother so when she died, he built a temple for the deity Guanyin, but have the deity carved to resemble his mother to have people worship her. He buried her in the temple and tried to retrieve her body but it had been replaced by NHS.

I think some dialogues suggest that NHS might have done the same to her body as what JGY did to his brother's body...have it dismembered and separated so JGY would never be able to find it.

It's not explicitly gay because China doesn't allow that but if you typically don't watch dramas without female leads or without any major heterosexual romance then you'll probably not like it. I've read the novel and the male leads relationship is still very loyal to the novel despite censorship.

Agreed, hopefully we can wrap up Tincan story nicely and be done with that. Really hate how we never get closure on BL dramas because it doesn't seem to end :(

Mean has 5 works in 2020 (LBC2 included) which means he will have several filming schedules on top of going to school...etc (and I'm not including his MC jobs for reality shows). WRU is set to air in January which means it's already done filming/wrapped up. Saint would only have 1 filming schedule in 2020 so I don't think including him in season 2 would be humanly impossible (?) .

P'New only has one directing style. I think it was ok with LBC since it's just a romance but UWMA is supposed to have all these suspense/fate elements and everything is just coming through like a music video with the filters and aesthetics. Like it looks nice but it's not the right feel for UWMA's genre.

Still looking forward to LBC S2 though, and I think Plan gets misunderstand a lot for his facial expression...but I don't think he dislikes playing BL or doing kisses considering him and Mean asked for an actual kiss scene in their MV when P'New only asked for an angle kiss. Guess we'll see how he do in s2.

Earth tends to over act. Lots of actors who are not that skilled at acting do this and it makes their acting cringey. Like in ep 1, his reaction to Korn's suicide was too fast and too much that it makes the acting "obvious?" He cried so loud too lol.

I felt the same way about Korn-In...like when they stare into each other eyes, there is no spark? IDK how to explain but their interactions comes off less natural and appears like "acting."

Some people like the manga but I thought it was absolute garbage. If you don't like the sexual harassment trope, don't read it. It's over glorified, and after little to no development of the heroine, I dropped the manga,

Didn't watch this movie but I read the manga a long time ago and neither the plot nor characters made any sense to me so I was surprised when they decided to adapt it. It's unfortunate cause Hiroya and Mizuki are actually some of the better young actors and this is just a waste of their potentials :(

The entire first season feels like a setup for the real plot in the next seasons...My theory is that Kraam is probably either half dragon or serpent considering Thai mythology and how he can't die in the water. He was in danger in his original world so his mother risks her life to send him through the portal to another world but she died since she is a mortal. He will learn of his origin as story unravels... But I could be totally wrong lol.
